Circle Pawn (201 North Highway 146, La Porte) — Attraction in La Porte

Oof. This review is based solely on their being sold to EZ Pawn.

I should have paid more attention. I've gone to this location for 15+ years. Got great deals on buys and the absolute highest cash offers for any sales.

Well, I didn't see the signs, the literal signs and small ads on the counters, that say EZ Pawn all over the place. Nothing you sell or get a loan on is based on the value of the item. It's based on you.

They run their own credit systems and if you haven't made payments on past loans or just let them go, then your items value goes way down.

There is nothing EZ. I took a loan for a guitar, have made 2 payments (that equal the loan amount) and still owe 150% of the loan amount. The internet builds, as well. Next month, I will owe a higher amount than what this month was.

You used to get a loan for 90 days, and you owed 25% interest. That was it. Get $100? Well for the next 90 days, give us $38 a month, and that's a wrap.

I absolutely do not care how nice somebody is, or how good of a sales rep they are, if you're business practices change to more hurt the customer in a customer focused business, you lose me.

These are the most kind-hearted compassionate people I’ve come across in a pawn shop.

I lost my uncle in a horrible boating accident 2 months ago and have been looking for a family rifle nonstop that was his prized possession. He had to take a loan out on it when he got laid off and we didn’t know which pawn shop he had used. After searching for what felt like forever, I almost gave up two days ago when I found his 9mm sig. Them yesterday, on my way to work (the same way I’ve gone every day) I noticed a pawn shop I hadn’t noticed before.

I called, and Denise was so caring and knew it was important to me. The serial number matched the gun she had of his and she told me it was meant to be because it had almost reached the last day of grace.

They were so kind when we were in there picking it up and doing all of the paperwork. No one got flustered when my older grandfather was having a hard time reading the paper, one of the ladies even let him borrow her cheaters. He broke down when they showed us the gun and they all apologized for our loss, one man even carried it out to the truck so I could help my grandfather.

These people were amazing. God is good, and they were good. God bless each and every...

Very sad to see how much this pawn shop has gone down hill over these very short yrs I'm talking about there appearance, there product and ESPECIALLY the people working there. 2 days ago I bought a bike for $80 even though the tag said $70 which I was never advised of the extra money until it was taking off my card anyway. Well it wasn't working out like I hope an the receipt said I could return it still so I brought it back into SAME CONDITION an they were very ride immediately a few of them were huddled in the corner whispering about me n giving me mean looks an then the lady said they would only give me $25!! I protestestes so she had her manager come over I wish I got his name but I was stunned he was extremely rude pretty much blamed me for not spending MORE money to get protection an that's why I was only getting $20 on a $80 bike. Then he laughed at me when I told him this wasn't over an pretty much insinuate that he wasn't worried nothing would happen to him.
