JACKIE MEDINA .. this manager should be FIRED! .. i have been a manager myself at a restaurant for a few years & have always tried in every shape or form to keep the customer happy when thereâs an inconvenience .. i went in with my family and husband in his hour of lunch to eat peacefully .. we ordered our tacos, fries, etc & we ordered 4 BURRITOS .. mine was made right (i had no complains about & i told her politely that my food was made right), the other 3 WERE NOT .. one had so much beans barely any fajita .. one had only shrimp when we clearly told her it was shrimp & fajita, the last one had only vegetables barely any fajita .. we told her & SHOWED her .. she right away with a disgusting attitude says âwe can not remake it, but can give you the meat on the sideâ .. EXCUSE ME? why not do it RIGHT in the first place? .. why canât we get what we ordered what WE will pay for .. THEN she went out of line talking about âwe just can not remake it .. itâs a sin to be throwing away foodâ .. UM? donât you or every other food place throw away all the food at the end of the day? .. GIRL please donât mix your feelings with PROFESSIONALISM, this management position isnât FOR YOU .. in the restaurant i worked for & other restaurants that have served me food & my FAMILY .. if they accidentally messed up, they would REMAKE IT & if not ask for any other options to make it up or AT LEAST APOLOGIZE .. how itâs supposed to be .. she never once apologized .. we are not the type of people that want things for free .. never, we just wanted the food served right .. we definitely did not pay for it & told her, we left the burritos untouched and paid for everything else! if you really were a smart manager youâd do something about it or remake the food & GET the money for the business .. not only did the BURRITOS go in the trash but no money was earned! IM SORRY but if they served you a burrito with nothing but beans, rice, vegetables but 3 pieces of fajita wouldnât you get mad? & it was the big california burrito thatâs like $15 plus tax .. COME on .. the food was GREAT, the customer service was not it at all .. will never come back here again, you lost customers not ONE but a lot counting family .. ONCE again, this manager JACKIE MEDINA needs to get fired or needs to get some classes to know how to manage a restaurant because her disgusting & pathetic behavior WONâT get...
Read moreFirst of I will say I understand there may have been a language barrier but my server spoke good enough English to understand what I was saying and to respond.
My best friend and I went here to get a bite to eat before she had to go to work. We were seated and the host asks us what we wanted to drink to which we both said water for now. The actual server brings our water out and we asked for a few minutes to look over the menu. There was food floating in my water so I requested a sprite and another water. Our server Karina, brought the sprite but no water. So I asked for the water again. She says ok and takes our order. I had the shrimp Quesadilla and my best friend had the Taquitos. (There is also something on the menu that says it contained "No-Grade" Meat). Still no water so I say screw it I'll just drink my sprite. I take a bite of my quesadilla and it was the most bland thing I've ever eaten. No seasoning, no spice, just a pile of cheese and shrimp smashed between a tortilla. I requested sour cream to go along with my quesadilla. Karina brings out a HOT PLATE with sour cream on it. I choose to ignore it and eat my quesadilla. I dipped my quesadilla into the sour cream and it tasted so sour and bitter as if it was old. I sat it to the side waiting for Karina to come back so I can request she take it back and I eat without it. I sat there about 10-15 minutes waiting for her to come back to check on us. She never showed up. Our cups were empty and we were pretty much fed up at this point. There was another server who came over probably concerned at my disgruntled face and asked were we okay. We explained to take back the sour cream and to bring the check and boxes. When said server walked to the back, here comes Karina asking what happened. He tells her what we wanted and she brings us our bill and our boxes. We sat our money on the table and we pack up to leave. As we are leaving she and the host and a few other servers gang up at the door as if they are gonna try to grab us for trying to leave without paying. Needless to say, we won't be coming back to this piss poor establishment if this is the type of service they provide especially when your food isn't...
Read moreGreat food, good prices and friendly staff. I have kids, as do many other families who dine there. It seems to be a kid-friendly place. There aren't any toy rooms or monkey bars... but all of the staff seems to be very kid-friendly, which helps a lot.
We've been here enough times that we have our favorite meals, but we try new things on the menu often... and we have yet to be disappointed in a selection.
Taqueria Arandas has a full, dedicated bar attached to the restaurant -- so if you order adult beverages, they're made right (not like some places that only have the pre-made drinks). The bar also has karaoke and dancing. I know this, as we can hear the performers whenever the door to the bar opens. When the door is shut, you can't really hear a thing. We also sit on the south side of the restaurant, which is near the bar door -- so you could avoid any sound at all by sitting in the middle or north portion of the restaurant. I've never been in the bar area, so I can't say if it's good or bad... but the specialty drinks we order are always good.
I've never had a problem with any meal not being prepared to our satisfaction. If we didn't like something, they took it back and made it again, or swapped it out for something else, or just removed it from our bill. No questions asked. While it is rare for us to send something back, it's good customer service for them to fix it rather than argue with us about it like some restaurants do.
Some people may not like Taqueria Arandas because it's a "chain" restaurant -- but I fail to see how that has any affect on the quality of the restaurant or the food. The restaurant is always clean, and the food is always good. If that's what it means to be a "chain" restaurant -- predictable quality -- then that's where I...
