Giving the venue itself 3 stars because the SGV halls are very cute. Believe these two venues are new and one could tell. They are a rustic look, have kitchen, bathrooms and bar area. As for EVERYTHING else it is a definite 1 star. This was our first time getting a venue in La Puente. We wanted to stay local as it was for a baby shower. All our parties we have booked our in pasadena, los angeles and beverly hills so one can imagine the standard that we had. First, their customer service is awful. Not used to paying for a venue and have to texted them, it has always been via e-mail, in person or via phone. Not only this but I had to ask the same questions at least three times and then call and wait for at least 8-15 min to have someone answer the phone for me, but when it was to get their payment they texted and answered right away. We did everything with a couple months of preparation not last minute to avoid the hazzle, but the company was very disorganized. When we saw the venue and signed contract we were told for a fee we could get food, linens, decorations then after one of the owners (lady) apologized that they do not offer any other services because it was a baby and on a sunday. This makes no sense since this is something we would be paying for not free. We were allowed to begin setup day of event one hour before our shower. We had it at noon and this told me we could come at 10 but be aware that the cleaning crew was still there and we only had an hour after our event to clean up. This makes absolutely no sense if you have ever rented a venue whatever size or day. Our event ended at 5pm and they stop serving alcohol. This was not an event that ended at 12am or later on a saturday where everyone has been drinking. I went to the bar with my friend and asked for a shot for her (i am pregnant) and the bartender refused as it was 5pm. I understood and she was very polite. However, when we where cleaning my husband asked for some shots and the bartender politely said now, they got some shot glasses(we brought Everything) and someone had a beer and they were going to take a shot of beer when the owner lady came out yelling frantically that a contract was signed and there is no alcohol pass the time. That she was the owner, and that they needed to be respectful in a tone that was quite honestly outrageous and NOT needed. The man who she was screaming at was my husband and a physician. We own a family medical practice in a city close by. My mom is small latina owned business in La Puente. We deal with customers/patients on a daily basis. This was NOT how you speak to anyone, unless you don't care that they come back or recommend you. After that she proceeded to get ALL the information of my vendors whom I booked because we could not use her services. Shady business protocols. Honestly, I only gave it those stars because the venue is very cute but I would not recommended if you want to have a smooth event in anyway. Very disappointed. They need people run their business who have knowledge or experience or take the time to get educated on the business...
Read moreThe place is clean beautifully maintained. The service they offered was what made me give them a 2 star review. Our family had an even on 4/27. The bar tender was extremely rude. We had several complains Abt her skills with customer service. She denied a simple lime to our Mariachi ( no one asked for a drink) she simply said the bar was closed. She made guest reuse their cups when she had enough clean disposable cups at the bar next to her. She denied having drinks of a kind when they were clearly visible to our guest. She denied water to the direct family of the birthday girl, told them to get in line like everyone else. If you consider this place assure your guest are treated with respect. The place itself was beautiful. The bar tender was awful and...
Read moreThe banquet hall is upstairs on the second floor. The stairs are a bit short footed and scary. There was no elevator. The chairs are very wobbly, so you need to make sure you don't move much. The inside was very elegant, simple decore but enough for any party. The food was a bit interesting, not my cup of tea, but I suggested not coming on an empty stomach. I counted 13 round tables at 10 seat a table. So about 130 people, it was full, but small place enough to get around, had a good size dance floor. Overall it a good place for a small...
