La Puente City Park — Attraction in La Puente

This park use to be enjoyable. Not anymore. Wheres all the trees that provided all the shade to sit under..gone. open space gone! They just want more people to come to their area,use the park,eat in their restuarants in the area. Cant watch a fireworks show anymore here. They will says it was the pyrotech companys fault. No they have been planning this for along time. It started when they redid the high schools football field and they said no more shows their. School groups loose money from not selling food item(fundraising event). Then they shoved it to the use to be open area of the park next to little league fields,no more. Last year they gave laser light show,died because pyro company( guess they were the only 1 in southland that did shows) were having a small problem. Next 4th of july there probably planning on banning fireworks all together,like all the other cities...

THE RENOVATION OF THIS PARK CAME OUT EXTREMELY AWESOME! FUN FOR EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE YOU LOOK. PEOPLE & PETS ARE ENJOYING IT HERE. FAR MORE VISUALLY APPEALING THAN THE WAY IT WAS. TIMING FOR UPGRADE WAS PERFECT, & MUCH NEEDED FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES. THRILLING SKATE PARK, BASKETBALL COURTS, BASEBALL FIELDS, ETC. GREAT ENTERTAINMENT & EXCITEMENT ESP FOR KIDS. ONE THING TO KEEP IN MIND- NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN THE SKATE PARK AREA. THEY MUST BE BEHIND THE GATE, CURBSIDE TO STREET PARKING. SOMEONE NOTIFIED THE SECURITY GUARD, & HAD US KICKED OUT OF THAT AREA, REGARDLESS OF MY BF'S PET BEING A REGISTERED SERVICE/ SUPPORT DOG. NO WORRIES, WE UNDERSTAND. RESTROOMS ARE PRETTY CLEAN, PARK IS KEPT UP NICELY. PLENTY OF GORGEOUS DROUGHT TOLERANT PLANTS & TREES. COME CHECK IT OUT,...

Security runs this place like there the police treating real skaters like trash the security guard told me I couldn't skate there with my dog when he wasn't bothering anyonee and staying inside the skatepark and I even had a leash to tie him up if you want some sort of control over the public you people are weird and you got it with your security making me feel very unwanted he also got very angry with me when I wouldn't talk with him as he was kicking me out very strange what was even weirder there was a family that walked up with there kids and skateboards with a dog!
