EZPAWN (406 South Public Road, Lafayette) — Attraction in Lafayette

This is the first time that I have bought anything at a pawn shop and thanks to EZPAWN, it will definitely be the last. Do not go here unless you want to get ripped off. I put a down payment on a 3-ton floor jack, which they were asking $169.99 for. This seemed like a good deal at the time. So, when I got home I did some research of my own and found out that this same exact floor jack can be purchased at Harbor Freight for $69.99 BRAND NEW! They wanted $169.99 for the exact same floor jack, which was used!!!! This made me furious, so I called EZPAWN in Lafayette, CO and asked them if I could used that down payment on other goods in the store and they refused telling me that I had lost my down payment due to a "restocking fee". I do not know how they price their items, but I know that it is not in the consumers' favor. I even asked one of the clerks and she told me, "My manager just prices item however she feels like." Really? This is how you run your business? You should be ashamed of yourselves! So, I forewarn you all, please be aware and do your research before making your purchase and don't let them have the best of you, like they did with me. Also, EZPAWN in Lafayette, CO, stop posting for sale ads on Craigslist under a private owner, you are a dealer! Pay the fee like all the other reputable dealers do. You see, they are cheap and care too much about ripping...

The crew here is awesome. They run a very good business checking every product they take it to ensure perfect quality of used items. The first day I visited them they were very busy when I called to ask if they had what I needed because I live far away and they took the time to check their inventory to be sure they had what I was looking for before driving out. That is unheard of at most pawn shops I’ve used in the past. When I arrived they were still busy but they took the time to get to know me and the type of things I would potentially need then and in the future. I felt like I was shopping at a small Mom and Pop place because of the staff’s positive, engaging personalities and left with what I needed and something that I’ve wanted for a while as well, all for an unmatched price. Seriously; this is the way every business should operate. I don’t find this type of hospitality, genuine interactions, and folks taking time to help someone that they didn’t know if I would actually show up and spend money or not anywhere anymore. I can’t say enough good things about this EZPawn. They truly impressed me and I will talk to them first whenever I need tools, electronics, and instruments. They had a lot of very nice jewelry, which I’m not in the market for but they had some high quality watches that I think I’ll be back for. Thank you guys, I’ll be back to see you...

Ordinarily I’m not the type to make reviews on places I visit but I recently had an experience so unpleasant I felt it wouldn’t be right to simply ignore it. I’ve been browsing several local thrift stores and pawn shops looking for items to furnish my apartment and as usual I stepped in to take a look around. I tried on several occasions to get the attention of employees or even a shift manager and I was willfully ignored time and time again while they attended to other customers. Ordinarily I would assume it was simply due to them needing assistance before me, however this went on for over an hour when it clearly was not busy enough to necessitate it. I am a very visibly queer woman, and while I had some suspicions that it may be the reason I was not being served it was all but confirmed when I was told I was not allowed to loiter on the property by a manager of some kind. I explained that I was a customer and had been looking for assistance for a while, and I was told they could not help me before escorting me out of the building.
