Magnolia Pantry — Restaurant in Lafayette

If I could give this place a 0 star I would!! I am visiting Lafayette for vacation so I decided to stop here. The service was terrible waited over 30 mins to get my drink other girls (the cashiers) friend came after me, the cashier gets up to chat with them they make them their drinks I am still waiting I come back to the register the cashier looks at me and say "can I help you?" Like if she has no seen me! I said I want waiting on my two drinks she said I am working on them - a lie she was not then starts looking for the receipt, I finally said just give me my money back! She reaches to the register and hands me my money that she picked up with her to fingers as if she didn't wanted to touch my hands! Like really?!? I felt humiliated and discriminated! Way to go people! You should be ashamed of yourself!!

So I came in to this place for the first time last weekend and I went straight to the counter to ask the worker behind the counter a question. She completely ignored me and instead gave her attention to the group of people who came in right behind me. She literally proceeded to have a conversation with another person right next to me while I waited to see if she was ever going to address me and from what it looked like, it was just casual conversation, not her taking an order. Mind you I was there first and there weren’t any customers in front me of. It wasn’t till I interrupted her conversation that she answered my question. I thought this was super rude and disgusting behavior. And low key as a person of color it was giving racist since she was white and the people she addressed were white as well. I will never give my business to this place cause of the horrible customer service and blatant ignorance.

It was hard to imagine this spot as anything other than what it once was. Walking in for the first time, though, I was transported to all of my favorite places in my life.
