Thalken — Attraction in Lafayette

Thalken is my gf and I’s absolute favorite place. When we first popped in, Hana and William were the sweetest souls ever. You could easily tell they weren’t conversing with us just because we bought something, they actually cared about what we had to say. My gf wanted to get me a specific pair of hoops for my birthday months later and Hana didn’t have anything at the time that I wanted. We wanted to get something from their mercantile so I just figured we would come back in a few months and see. Hana offered to look for the perfect pair for me and got them and even let us know when they were in the shop. She personally has made us feel real and loved - which might sound odd but these two are the type of people that give you faith in people and kind of put worth in your life. We always go and support them when we can. Hana also personally reached out to my partner and just mentioned how her energy had been different the last time she was in their shop. They previously had a conversation that alerted something in Hana to keep up and check on her. It meant a lot to my partner, especially coming from a “stranger”. They make you feel wanted, heard and listened to. Their small shop holds such big quality items and I am not just talking about their amazing socks, jewelry and candles. It really is a safe, sacred place. The two owners are honestly what makes the shop. A soul-tie kind of connection. I know for a fact this is how they are with everyone and that is why there are so many hearts with spots just for them all over the Lafayette/Louisville area (more I am sure). Experiencing their aura is like walking out of a home filled with so much love - every time. I can’t even put it into words how much these two mean to us and we only know them from their minute dance parties and the few connections we have had. I could go on - I won’t. Please support them, it’s a million times worth...

I discovered Thalken when I moved to Lafayette in 2019 and it instantly became my go to for a pick me up day out and any gift I ever needed. The first time I saw the shop was when we took my daughter’s picture outside the store with their beautiful mural of angel wings. Then when I walked in I instantly wanted to see everything they had to offer- all of their products are so unique and special, boasting with amazing aesthetic and high quality. Meeting the owners just kept the momentum of “special” going- they are such beautiful people, both inside and out and you can sense their happiness, sincerity, and love radiating instantly. Watching them play “gift bandits” on Instagram through covid was so heartwarming, it seems that everything they do is straight from the heart with the purest sincerity. When we moved away from Lafayette, Thalken was something I grieved leaving the most. Every time I go back I pay Hana and William a visit, buy everything I can fit into my luggage, and am immediately reminded what a gem this little store is! I couldn’t recommend popping in more...

Chicagoan here! I have been shopping at Thalken since they were in their wee little spot the next town over years ago when I lived in CO. Since then they've expanded their products tremendously, but still retained their kind, amazing customer service. I feel comfy and at home when I shop there. Will and Hana (owners) are not only awesome humans, but amazing artists. I've had some of their gold filled rings now for maybe 5ish years, I wash my hands with them on and were them constantly and they're just now startingg to fade in color a tiny bit but honestly still in great shape after all this time and use! I frequently get compliments on my Thalken rings. I have earrings and necklaces from them as well that I've been so incredibly happy with. Their jewelry is beautiful, and so are their hearts! (As cheesy as that may sound, it's absolutely true! Good people.) I've had things shipped to me to IL with no issues, and stop in their store when ever I'm back in town.
