The journey to find the perfect engagement ring is probably one of the scariest and most exciting steps anyone can make. My journey ended at Lake Forest Jewelers. It all started when my amazing fiancé went up and down “Jeweler’s Row” downtown in search of the ring of her dreams. She had an idea in her head ever since she was a little girl and an entire Pinterest board of images to back it up. But when she would go downtown with her girlfriends in search of her dream she was often told they didn’t have anything like that in stock, or she should look at something of a different style. She was disheartened to say the least. When I finally took her to Lake Forest Jewelers she heard Mike say those magic words “sure, no problem we can do that… we do custom work all the time, just show me a picture and I’ll have a model made up.” and the rest would be history. She was able to look at a model and design the perfect ring of her dreams and I was able to work within my budget and put in a few special touches of my own. I was so happy with the quality of service and value that when my brother proposed a few months later I was able to save him the work and send him directly to Mike. Lake Forest Jewelers really gives you the service and relationship you’d expect from an “old world” Jeweler. Always ready to help without the pressure you get at one of those “cookie cutter” stores. Lake Forest Jewelers is a reliable jewelry store in the Chicago suburbs. Mike and Mike Sr. were extremely helpful throughout the entire shopping process for my wife's engagement ring. I imagine engagement ring shopping can get pretty overwhelming/intimidating, but not with Lake Forest Jewelers! Any stress or anxiety I had about ring shopping were put to rest the moment I stepped into their store.

They took the time to understand exactly what we were after while still educating me about the four C's of diamonds. We ultimately decided on designing the perfect engagement ring for my wife.

When it was time to get wedding bands, Mike helped us find a wedding band for my wife that matched the engagement ring. We had a band picked out before visiting the store, but Mike coached us out of that band since it would have looked strange if ever worn without her engagement ring - sure glad he helped us not make that mistake!

In my opinion of lake Forest jewelries is 5 plus stars, I was actually referred to them by a store in highland Park where I grew up, the owner Michael was incredibly informative, honest, and I actually learned a lot about jewelry from him. And the jewelry they have on display is absolutely beautiful. The owner actually introduced me to a son who was very knowledgeable, polite, and I'll tell you they have this beautiful multicolor Ruby necklace that was just absolutely gorgeous. And my last point as many of you know I'm disabled so I do get confused, and I would never tell you not to patronize a highland Park business, but for me my first choice would be lake Forest jewelry as it speaks volumes for a jewelry store in highland Park to refer me to lake Forest jewelry, which I much appreciated.
