I got dip nails with my best friend. I liked the nails while they lasted, but I will say the whole experience left something to be desired. Here’s why. 1) three different people did my nails and I sat for almost 20 minutes waiting for the first one to return before the second one took her place. This felt awkward, and it seemed like the woman who did my nails for the middle chunk (and most of my appt) didn’t know quite what she was doing. When she was prepping my nails for extensions, she used other people’s tools and I’m sure they were not sanitized between uses. She rough-cut the ends of my natural nails so badly that they’re still snapping. She also got glue all over my fingertips, especially below and around my natural nails. My friend next to me got a full hand massage and cuticle oil done with her manicure, but I did not. My hands and cuticles were left very, very dry. This was disappointing. I will say, when the second person realized she could not do the art I requested, the third person who came to help did a lovely job. I have no complaints about her at all - the nail art was beautiful and by far my favorite part of the whole experience. 2) my nails were beautiful from some angles but not from others. Glue stuck my skin to the extensions on most fingers and was painful. There was glue and polish under my natural nails on both hands. When I got home, I had to shave the sides and underneath of the nails to get them smooth and less uncomfortable. 3) my nails cost $71.50. Not a bad price for them. But they only take cash tips, and the atm in the back only gives $20 bills and I was not offered change until I was opening the door on my way out. So, $91.50 is what I spent on nails. I’m fine with paying that price for quality nails. So, I expected them to last but… 4) they started to come off a week later. Not even kidding. One week and three days later I removed them. I work a job where I don’t use my hands/nails much, so was very surprised when just a week after I had them done, many began falling off and one ended up snapping completely off of my natural nail. I had to remove them for my own safety and they left my natural nails pretty badly damaged, even when compared to other artificial nails I’ve had. Overall: nice people, okay prices, but below-average in terms of longevity and quality of the service provided.

I’ve been coming to LO Nails & Spa for about 7 years, and at this point it’s the only place I truly trust with my nails. I’m there every 3 weeks like clockwork (although the builder gel would last 4, no question). I tried going somewhere cheaper once, and regretted it almost immediately — lesson learned. The only time I don’t see them is if I have an unexpected nail emergency and I’m out of town. Their work is consistently amazing. The quality never slips, and their nail art is some of the best I’ve ever seen. They offer a range of services, and they’ve done my brows when I needed it. Their pricing is fair and competitive, and absolutely worth it for the talent, skill, and care they put into their work. I almost always get intricate nail art, so I pay a bit more. You get what you pay for — and in this case, it’s worth every penny. The team works hard, they’re creative, and genuinely care about doing things right. I always leave happy, and my nails always last. I recommend this place constantly to friends. If you want beautiful nails, great service, and artists who know what they’re doing — this is the place. So grateful to have found them- they have a lifetime client in me. (Photos are from different years! One is pre-hand tattoos, but they’re all me.)

Terrible experience. I've been to many nail salons and usually have a great time, but this was by far the worst. From the start, the manager was extremely pushy, constantly trying to add unnecessary fees—even trying to charge for using the water basin, which was absurd. I came in for a specific service, and not only was it poorly done, but the massage I paid for was barely even given. The entire experience felt rushed, unprofessional, and unfair. Online it also says that they offer various drink options, but when we asked they said all they’ll give us is water. I honestly question the validity of the high reviews here—they seem incentivized or misleading. There are plenty of other salons that offer much better service without the pressure and hidden fees. I won’t be returning. Update/Reply to owners comment: You can try to brush it off, but the fact remains that you weren’t honest about what happened. If something isn’t actually an option, it shouldn’t be listed on your menu. The way the situation was handled came across as very unprofessional, and it felt like you were trying to manipulate us into paying more. I also witnessed another customer—a woman with her daughter—go through the exact same experience, and she was visibly upset as well.

I am super sad to say that this will be the last time I visit Lake Oswego Nails. I have been coming here for about 6 years, but the service and quality has gone completely downhill over the past year, and today was the nail in the coffin.

General Experience: First, the experience used to be wonderful. They would offer beverages and ask you how you day was, etc. It was such a a friendly experience. Now they just yell and ask if you've signed in. That's about the extent of conversation. And twice in a row now, they have offered a beverage and then just completely ignored it and never come back. Just don't offer a beverage if that's not something you do anymore!

Nail Service: Today I asked to add tips JUST on the nails I had broken. My tech proceeded to put tips on those nails, started buffing them and then we talked about nail shape. Then out of nowhere, she starts cutting off my regular nails. I tried to stop her, but she just waved it off and continued cutting them. I just about cried.

Later in the service, she put chrome on my pinky nail and I told her I didn't like the way it looked and that I would prefer no chrome (but I would of course still pay for the nail). She ignored my ask, then proceeded to put chrome on the other nails. I asked two more times for her to stop, but once again, she ignored me and proceeded to add the clear on top.

So, I lost my regular nails and paid for tips I didn't want in the first place and paid for chrome that I didn't want.

The worst part is that at the end of all this, the quality was terrible. The chrome got all over the tips and it makes it look like my nails are chipped. Not exactly what you're looking for when you spend $70+.

I truly wish you all the best of luck. I really loved coming here for the first 5 years, but it is time to find a...

This was the WORST nail experience of my life!!!! I went in to have my acrylic nails removed and a shellac manicure done. Rather than soaking off my acrylic nails with acetone the lady there said she preferred to use a different method since acetone takes so long. She began by using a heavy duty drill head and taking off the top layer of the acrylic. Then attempted to use a fake plastic nail so jam between my real nails and the fake ones. Acrylic sticks to my nails like rubber cement so this did not work out and was very painful. Then she decided to use the drill head only, aggressively going back and forth over and over again even though I continuously told her my nails were getting hot and it felt like she was about to seriously burn me!! After the acrylic was worn down she filed my real nails down until there was nothing left (not to mention they were jagged and completely uneven)! Then she buffed them, as if they weren't already paper thin enough!! When she started applying the shellac I thought, "Ok, this is the easy part, I can finally relax". But nooooooo!!! She got the nail polish all around my fingers and used her long thumb nail to get it off. This is was tolerable until she jammed her sharp nail under my EXTREMELY short thumb nail and caused me to bleed. This all happened yesterday and my thumb is still red and swollen. I am beyond disgusted with their service. The place was dirty and outdated and reeked of fumes. I will NEVER go back there and I would not advise ANYONE to go there for...
