My fiance and I needed to get photos printed which were to become part of our wedding invitations. We planned to have vellum invites that were half-page sized (5.5"x8.5"), which would be laid over the photos we sought to print; both would then be punched and secured with ribbon. Needless to say, we needed a very specific photo size (the same 5.5"x8.5"), as the vellum had already been printed. We didn't know or think to ask when planning that this was such an irregular size photo.
We went to or called a number of photo processing places, every time to be told the same thing: we can't do custom sizes. It was growing to be pretty frustrating; had we made a mistake not printing the photos first? should we order them online for a large amount and 2-3 week wait? Should we scrap the vellum invites already printed and start again? It was suddenly seeming that things were going to become much more expensive and take much more time...and then we called Photo Lab.
The man we spoke to was very friendly and knowledgeable. He told us that the custom size want a problem. We went into the shop and meet with him; turns out he was the owner and he was more than happy to work with us to get whatever we needed. I gave him the digital picture, which he edited to the correct size, lightened it up a little, printed and cut, all to the 5.5" x 8.5" specification. All that and it was ready to be picked up in an hour and a half...oh, and I should add that the price he gave us was extremely fair; I'm not sure if he is always so budget friendly, or if he sensed that we were just two poor kids paying for our own wedding, but either way, I was thrilled with the price!
I wholeheartedly recommend Photo Lab for anybody who is needing prints, whether they are custom size, wallets, big for your wall, etc, etc. The owner and operator of the shop is a very kind gentleman who clearly takes pride in his work and treats your commission with absolute professionalism. I will return to him again and again, and am already looking for photos of ours to be blown up and hung on the wall. Thank you Photo Lab, you saved the day and created a satisfied,...
Read moreWent here for the first time at the beginning of the month to get some film developed for the first time -- this was the closest lab near me that wasn't a Walgreens/etc so I wanted to test out their process with a test roll of film of a new camera. I was so pleased! The service was extremely fast: I dropped off the film early afternoon of Friday and received all scans via Dropbox on Saturday evening. SO fast and great quality scans. I didn't get to walk around the full stock of the store but they had Fuji film all in stock while I was there, and everything (from product to services) is well priced.
In comparison, I had more rolls developed at a different photo lab in Portland that is supposed to be more reputable amongst the Portland photo community to also test out their process/quality and although the photos were due today at the 7 day mark, I haven't received any of it yet. So while I can't say much about quality comparison w the other lab yet, I will say that THIS Photo Lab already has the upper hand with how fast and efficient they work! I don't think I can handle waiting more than 7 days for my photos, so I plan to come back to Photo Lab again knowing I can trust they get the job done quickly and with care....
Read moreFantastic photos at Photo Lab. Came in around 5pm on a Thursday for passport photos, and it didn’t take long to realize we were in the presence of a true professional. Within 10 minutes, our passport photos were ready.
The next day at King City City Hall, the staff immediately recognized the photo sleeve as being from Photo Lab. A brief exchange went like this: “Do a lot of people go to Photo Lab?” “Wish more people did.”
Highly recommended — photo quality is top notch. Go to Photo Lab for all your photo needs. This place even makes me want to pick up a disposable camera and bring back the joy of getting...
