Mueller Furniture and Mattress — Attraction in Lake Saint Louis

Eleven weeks ago my husband and I decided to try this establishment out. We were looking to purchase a new living room set for the first time in 17 years. We're doing a complete remodel on our livingroom and kitchen. We were looking for some good local Mom and Pop type of establishments to support in the process of our exciting journey. We purchased a couch and recliner from Mueller furniture. We were told that it could take from 8-10 weeks for our furniture to arrive due to the Covid mess. We were fine with that, as we had quite a bit of work to do to get our livingroom remodeled. 3 weeks ago this coming Monday I received a phone call letting me know that our furniture was ready to be picked up. I was really excited, obviously. But that same Friday I received another phone call letting me know that our furniture was not ready to be picked up because the recliner was sitting in a warehouse in Kansas City. I questioned this, because in a weeks time our furniture is all there and ready, and then the day before we're supposed to pick it up, it's all of a sudden not all there? The excuse that I got was that someone made a mistake and misread the order sheet, and thought that all of our order was there when it was not. My husband called questioning it as well and was told that someone else with the same last name as us had an order that had arrived and someone called us instead. How convenient is that? We don't have an extremely common last name! The next week we both called to check on our furniture again. We were told that our recliner was still in a warehouse in Kansas City.... The next week we were told the same story, still at a warehouse in Kansas City. We called the manufacturer to inquire about the situation also, and there we were told that the furniture stores story about the recliner sitting at a warehouse in Kansas City for that long sounded very unlikely. We still don't have our $2700 worth of furniture. We still continue to get the run around from this furniture store, so if you are looking to purchase something here, I'd think long and hard before spending your money here! If I could give this business negative stars I would! If someone messed up and sold our recliner to someone else off the street and we were told the truth up front about it. We would not be this upset! If it came in damaged, or got damaged in the process of unloading it. We would not be this upset. But considering the conflicting stories that we've been told, and the unbelievable incident that a recliner would be sitting and taking up space for nearly a month at a temporary holding facility that's a 4 hour trip away. Our faith in this business has diminished and our trust has been beyond broken. I prefer shopping online so I don’t have to deal with a sales team. We heard Mueller Furniture had quality, made in the USA pieces, so I decided to drop by. I was greeted by John Duffy and as much as I cringe working with sales, he put me at ease in 5 minutes. He asked a few questions and then directed me to the area that aligned with what we wanted. He provided knowledge about the pieces and then surprisingly walked away. He gave me all the time I needed to look around and take photos. After finding what I thought was the right sofa, he asked that I take fabric samples home to see what would look the best with our furnishings and lighting.

Days later, I went back with my husband. We decided on a different sofa and within a short time, we were through the purchase process. John is honest and trustworthy. He is dedicated to customer service and his love for what he does shines through. We’ll be working with John on all future furniture purchases and I’m recommending him to family, friends and anyone that mentions “new furniture”.

The delivery process went exactly like John said it would. The delivery men were courteous and highly professional. We were at Meullers Funiture store in Lake St Louis this past Friday. Prior to stopping in there we stopped at another funiture store in St Peters just to see what they might have, we were looking for a Leather reclining sofa and chair. Everything we saw was not worth even trying it out. We left and went to Mueller’s where we had originally planned on going and purchased from before. We met John Duffy. Very nice, welcoming and professional salesperson. After asking a few basic questions and seeing where our interest was John was very helpful in showing us a few sofa sets that caught our eye. John was very patient as we went back and forth between two different suite. John minced no words in letting us know he wanted to make a sale with us. He was willing to do whatever he could to get us the best deal he could. Sales manager Mike was on board with getting our business. Like I said we know good quality funiture and where to find it, we have bought from Mueller’s before. John and Mike did not disappoint with a great deal and we are taking delivery on Wednesday.
