Von Maur — Attraction in Lake Saint Louis

I’ve been shopping at this location for 10+ years and have never had a bad experience. They have always had the friendliest staff and best customer service. I’ve received personal thank you cards with items we have had shipped from the store, even items on clearance! They always have tasteful music and we always enjoy when they have a live pianist. They have a wide range of selection from expensive boutique brands to more budget friendly options and their sale racks never disappoint! Every regular knows about the ladies’ shoe room and the round racks. They are the best place to purchase gifts and have free gift wrapping! I dropped in yesterday to Christmas shop and it was a nice surprise to get a complimentary professional photo with a festive background! I absolutely like shopping g at this store 1 EXCEPTION and it is an UNACCEPTABLE exception!! The lady with darker hair in the womens shoe dept is one of the rudest employees I have encountered!! She definitely does NOT fit the excellence and standards of VonMaurs customer service!! For 2 years in a row this rude and hateful employee has been the only person to wait on us and now I am walking past this department and or walking out. Truly I do not understand how they have her still and interacting with their customers!! Management needs to do something about this rude employee!! Great experience today in Von Maur… I was shopping for gifts & found some with the help of a white hair lady in the gift section up stairs.. I think she was the sweetest retail person, I have ever met! And, the sweet lady who wrapped my gifts was just as kind and sweet too… Then, in the Estée Lauder area, I picked out a few things, since it’s Bonus time & the lady in Estée Lauder, was extremely helpful as well!
