Our Lady of the Snows Parish — Attraction in Lake Township

Just wanted to start by saying yesterday December 16th 2022 was my mother’s memorial mass for her 1 year anniversary. Father Stan has done our mass twice in the past and he was great, we felt welcomed, he was compassionate, caring and very friendly. But yesterday was different we had pastor Andrade and our experience was the complete opposite. We got there and we greeted them but were not friendly at all, when I asked where I should put my mother’s picture (poster size) because previous times there was a stand there, he basically just told me to put it in a corner and on the floor very careless. We felt uncomfortable during mass. We gave our donation of $500 and mass only lasted 20 minutes, it was only a couple of us mass was rushed, no prayers for my mother at all. It was suppose to be special since we’re still grieving but instead it was made uncomfortable for us. I’m writing this because as I was headed to the cemetery to take flowers it just kept bugging me, I didn’t feel right and I wouldn’t want this to happen to anybody other family.

One last thing I moved an hour away but still decided to come to this church to do my mom’s mass because this was close to her home and originally had her 1st memorial mass here at...

With all due respect, I'm responding to LG review (opinion). I myself also attended the 2pm Mass 05/21/23 and I may say that at no given moment did I see Father Juan Luis Andrade give any "annoyed" facial expression to children in the aisle crying, now in regards to Father's Homily, what he shared with us is part of the teaching of the scriptures, He was reminding us how we have lost the values ,principles and morals in our path of life and that we must recover once again in order to live a good life of faith. It is sad to hear that when the truth is spoken we tend to get offended, instead of growing in maturity we decide to walk away and continue living improper. May our Lord and the Holy Spirit help us value our consecrated Priest and to remind us to have them in our prayers in order for them to continue this laboring journey. As a parishioner in this community, We will continue to come and welcome everyone that is looking to have an encounter with our Lord...

I’ve had couple masses here and Father Stan did great. He made us feel welcomed. But unfortunately I cannot say the same for dec 16 which would’ve completed my moms one year death anniversary :( when I walked in the church I wasn’t even greeted I walked in and said hello and even then it felt like if Father Andrade didn’t even want to speak at all he acted and responded so nonchalantly. It was a shame, me and my family are still grieving and having to deal with someone making us feel that way or unwelcome especially from a pastor is so shameful and distasteful. I hope someone pulls this guy aside and let’s him know that having this arrogant attitude doesn’t do him any justice especially being a “pastor” this I really did not expect.
