Nice large park with basketball courts, hard soccer field, 2 tennis courts, base ball fields, playground and even sand volleyball. The main field though is a little run down with little to no grass in some parts and humps in the ground. The park is also vibrant with kids and parents at the playground. The kids are very friendly and the parents seem relaxed and and nice to their children. In the playground there is also a water fountain like feature and is great to wash your hands with or even cool off on a hot summer day. Great park with alot of parts but everything just seems a little warn down. This part is definitely active, when I visited this park there were a group of people playing at the volleyball court. Families would either hang out at the playground or bike around the park. Soccer and basketball also seen quite popular seeing that there were always people there. After the volleyball players we're done playing, they went over to the water fountain and cleaned off the sand. The baseball field didn't have any bases or a path and it's easy to see why people wouldn't want to play. Overall, not a beautiful park but would go with friends to...

Grew up 1 block away... attending school here from K-7th grade.

I played at this park almost daily... not sure if its still there, but it was one of the only parks that I have ever seen (even to this day), with a roller hockey rink within a very tall, completely enclosed gate. It was originally 1 of 3 of 4 tennis courts, and they converted it. Which was great because me and my friends no longer had to play roller hockey in our alley... that was super cool of the park district to do that.

Great memories... this was in the mid 90's to early 2000's and it was pretty safe. Only heard of a few altercations, but they were all late at night, past my curfew. I have no clue on how safe the park is now, since I moved out of the area around they...

Went to jr high school here, got to 3rd base for the first time here, got drunk on vodka we stole from my mom's liquor cabinet for 1st time here... Played basket ball and football and baseball and softball here, and learned how to hacky sack, then spent a very good part of 3 Summers at this place. Lots of memories here for me. But aside from all that, it's a nice park with an awesome playground for the kiddies, track, tennis courts, basketball courts, couple of nice ball diamonds. Good place to be, doing whatever...

My Son plays football for his school ( Esmeralda Santiago) and they played the championship game (and won 20-6). Great football field and lots of park to explore. Venders if you need a snack. Bathroom facilities. Came over from Humboldt Park, traffic and drive wasn't bad at all for Chicago! Next time you are in the area stop in and enjoy the day, or just hang out for a while.

Best place to soak up the Sun 😎 on a cold day when out stretching your legs. Great place to let your dogs run and have fun. Get out and enjoy your neighborhood.
