Gordillas — Restaurant in Lake Township

Avoid this location at all costs. The rest of the reviews are true. I ordered the family package from the Pulaski location, and it was a complete understatement . The rice side wasn’t even a full cup, not even filled to the top , barely enough for one person, let alone a “family.” The burritos were thick, chewy, under-toasted, and gummy, even though I ordered 19 minutes ahead. It felt rushed and slapped together.

When I called, the phone rang and then sat in awkward silence for about 30 seconds , no greeting, no professionalism. I actually had to ask in Spanish, “Am I speaking to Gordillas on Pulaski?” Just to be sure I had the right place. Compare that to the 26th Street location, where you’re immediately greeted with, “Gordillas on 26th Street, how can I help you?” polite, organized, and respectful.

And when I finally got someone on the phone at Pulaski and politely asked for a manager, the woman got defensive right away. I told her this was a situation I knew she didn’t have the authorization to solve and I reassured her I’d call back for her manager. Regardless horrible attitude.

I go to the 26th location often because it’s near my job and the difference is night and day. The food quality, the service, the consistency all far superior.

Save your hard earned money especially in this economy Either put together an actual family meal and price it fairly, or don’t advertise it as a family package at all. Pulaski needs to seriously step up or stop calling itself part of the same brand.

I ordered through Uber eats and got a phone call from an employee called Rodrigo who stated that he gave my order to another person. The order was for like 12 items. How can you make such a big mistake. Uber eats won't refundido me and this guy keeps telling me that the app will refundido me. He refundido to give me credit or remate my order. Terrible. Where is the Gordillas management and customer service? I suspect "Rodrigo" is the "rude guy" on a picture of a previous bad review. This guy Rodrigo is something else....

He told me to call him back in 1 to 2 hours. I called him back and he said that the owner said they would not make my order again or give me credit. An $80 order that this moron Rodrigo gave to someone else..... shame to this restaurants customer service. I will never come back to this place or any of their locations. They made a mistake and won't man up to it. Keep my $80 and I wish you to close, bankrupt and to not fraud any more clients. You guys are absolutely disgusting. Got to Midway extra early and needed a bathroom. Saw a parking spot open near this place and had NO INTENTION of eating here. After coming out of the restroom someone got a plate of food that looked like it was sent from heaven. Ok.. Now my interest is piqued. A sweet lady took my order and a nice young man took my payment. 3 Taco Combo Platter with beans and rice and a drink. I had a seat and they brought the food to me.. and apparently I was hungry because that food was 100% gone in like 6 minutes. Steak and Pastor was perfectly tender and finely chopped, cilantro, onions and tomatoes fresh and the beans and rice on the money. Both hot sauce options are well flavored and hit the heat mark. Thank God I don't live near here or I'd be even more fat than I already am . Try this place, I promise you won't regret it. Sorry.. no pics.. it was that good I forgot to...
