Razpachos — Restaurant in Lake Township

I am pretty upset. I discovered Razpachos about a week ago on a walk around the neighborhood. Since I have discovered it I have gone once a day, and that is not an exaggeration. I loved it. I’ve been trying new things and have really loved everything I have tried. However, my experience today couldn’t have been more unenjoyable. First off, I ordered a fruta en vaso and the girl who was making my order made me something I didn’t order. The mango ice cream with mango pieces thing. Which I love. But didn’t want today. But they were getting busy so I was just going to take it. But then the total came out to $9.75 and I only brought enough for fruta en vaso and hot chips and cheese which the past few days has been $7. And so then my boyfriend spoke up for me and said, she didn’t want that she wanted what I have. And so then she made it, then every single time we have ordered fruta en vaso, they mixed it in a bowl so that all the fruit got the same amount of seasoning. She was just making it in the cup and I asked to mix it in the bowl, and she said it cost extra to mix in a bowl!!!!! Like what??!??? That makes no sense. So I said whatever, that’s fine. So then she rung me up and it was still $9.75! So something did not add up. Did they raise the prices in a day?!? I’m very disappointed. The fruit was fresh and the cream was sweet. Finding a nice fruteria in Chicago is not difficult, so the amazing feat that this place accomplishes is standing out as an exceptional business and eatery. One of the owners showed such enthusiasm for his craft and neighborhood alike. Even though I was just in for a quick fruit cup, he took the time and led me on an abbreviated cultural excursion. Tour highlights included regional variations on key lime pie and rompopo ice cream, there was a stop on a subtly sweet Gazpacho(?) which I've to date never seen offered elsewhere in the city.
