The Eclectic Rose in Hartville — Attraction in Lake Township

I went into the Ecclectic Rose on Tuesday, 12 March. I normally go in to shop and often find lots of things to buy. But this was only the second time I had ever tried to consign here. It’s difficult for me to get around because my body is ridden with so much pain, and so carrying in items was very difficult for me. I try to always be positive and have a good attitude despite the pain. I laid my items on the counter and asked about consigning. I was greeted with hostility, from the lady behind the desk. She treated me like she was angry I was in there. Her tone with me was so horrible that after she started taking my items, I just told her to forget it. I would go elsewhere because her tone was nasty and I didn’t need to be treated that way. She scoffed at me then turned to the other girl with her and rolled her eyes. Life is hard enough without someone treating me with such disrespect when I’m trying to do business with the establishment. I asked for her name and she told me with great attitude, Sherry. Both my mom (who was with me) and I were horrified by the treatment. Won’t be back to support this local business!

Tried to tell the owner twice what had happened at her shop. First time, I was kicked off of her group on Facebook! 2nd time messenger with no response. Many others have since come forth to say they have had the same treatment....

Kind hardworking staff that took the time to explain how selling my stuff would work. Last time, I got a check for over $100 for things I no longer wanted so I'm pretty excited about that! Sometimes when I stop in I don't buy anything & other times I buy a car load. It just depends on what people have brought in to sell. I like to stop in often so I don't miss out on anything new that comes in. I love that I can bring my stuff in & have someone else sell it for me. Then I don't have to deal with listing&shipping to sell it online myself. I also enjoy the great deals I find on next to new items instead of paying expensive retail prices. What a hidden gem! my two girlfiends and I stopped into this store last saturday 11/4/2017 We all immedeately fell in love with the store. Rose was very sweet,extrememly helpful and her husband greg was so helpful.We were from out of town all but one of us (pennsylvania) I am not normally one consignment stores but this one was so fun and great stuff, I am a 2x and they even had awesome clothing for my size Rose even let the store stay open an additional hour to let us continue to shop.If you are ever in the area you really need to stop here .
