DO NOT GO HERE FOR SCALP MASSAGE!!!!! I did the 60 minute head spa thing and my scalp felt and looked raw afterwards. I went in because I saw it on tik tok and it looked so relaxing. When I got there I had to be the one to ask them to show me my scalp on the monitor because I was curious to see the build up. She was going to start my massage without doing that until I asked. To which I had to walk out in my towel in the front to do it. She told me I had a sensitive scalp based off the pictures however my scalp massage was so aggressive. This was not even the slightest bit relaxing. My hair was being pulled while wet and I felt pieces breaking off. She was not gentle what so ever. The 1 star is for how nice the salon is, but that’s about it. Most of the time she was yanking on my hair and digging her hands into my “sensitive” scalp. The steam thing makes an awful sound and the massage on the neck and back is done with the shampoo or conditioner from the hair wash. The water temperature was fluctuating. I read all the reviews after posting this and can agree that many people think this and their responses are very poor as clearly these issues are not getting fixed and money is not being refunded back to these people for how terrible of an experience this was. Not at all as advertised. Also, I booked 60 and right when I got there she goes do you want to do the 90 minute instead. I think I would have been scalped if I did that. My scalp looked the same afterwards if not worse.
The massage portion was the reason i did the 60 minute and it was so quick and for the legs she literally just squeezed my thighs and then slapped them. None of the massage was relaxing at all.
I was honestly soooo disappointed because I did this before my extension appointment today hoping to get some relief before I put extensions in. However, afterwards my scalp was so sore and red my extension girl took a picture on her phone to show me how irritated my scalp was before we started. I paid 90 plus 18 dollar tip and I wish I could get it back because that was such a waste. I took tylenol because how irritated it was and still is as i’m writing this. I wish I never went. The whole process was so rushed and unpleasant this place does not care and this is not a 90 dollar service what so ever. They ripped out so many hairs of mine they stick up now i’m so upset. Going to write a review on Yelp because clearly these good reviews for this treatment are inaccurate or falsified because there are too many people having terrible experiences with this. I was even going to feature this place on my social media as I have a following on a few platforms, but If anything I would do one now to warn people not to waste their money on this...
Read moreUnfortunately as much as I really wanted to enjoy my scalp treatment it wasn’t very enjoyable or satisfying as a customer. Firstly they overcharge on Groupon. the website claims the original asking prices are nearly 3X as expensive and then actually charge you $50 more anyways ie. I paid $120 for an “original price” of $240 and then in store it is marked as a $90 treatment! That was so outrageous to me and when I asked why that was the person at the counter just smiled and said that’s just how it is!! Otherwise the massage was not worth the extra money as the hand massage included in the package was omitted and I was just sat upwards in an awkward position after the scalp treatment for an uncomfortable back massage. The pictures and videos they use for the scalp treatment are also inaccurate and basically a misleading scam — there were no scalp massaging tools used and the streamer water rinser I highly anticipated that they use in basically all their ad photos was also nonexistent and the water temperature kept fluctuating from being scalding hot to near cold I was extremely confused and kept on my toes in a very stressful way. No pre-analysis of the scalp, “mask” is just an eye patch that loses its heat after 20 minutes, no essential oils and I’m almost certain they used shampoo to massage my neck and shoulders as it foamed up, smelled the same as the shampoo and trickled down my body in an uncomfortable way. There was constant beeping as it was some bedside machine that the hair therapist kept pausing during my treatment to keep pressing buttons. Basically this was just a glorified hair wash that kept foaming up in my ears. I basically lost an hour of my life and wasted my money here, I hope they provide a better...
Read moreI went with my husband for a scalp treatment, and NEVER AGAIN.
The whole process seemed rushed. As soon as we walked in, the guy was on the phone and talking to us at the same time which I think is a bit rude. He then walked us over to the station where they check your scalp, and all he did was put the machine on my scalp, pointed at the picture showing what my issue was and told me to get out of the chair. No explanation or anything whatsoever.
We were then taken to the rooms. I was instructed to undress from the waist up and put on a towel like robe. Within 10 seconds the lady that was performing my massage/scalp treatment showed up and placed the towel like robe OVER my clothes and told me to lay down. Didn’t give me time to even take off my jacket.
Although it did feel like different products were used, it ultimately felt like a 50 minute shampooing- the hands/neck massage that is also “included” was her “rubbing” the area for like a minute and that’s it.
When it was over, the lady showed me that my scalp was now “healthy” - of course it would be healthy after scrubbing the shit out of it. When blow drying my hair she kept the blow dryer on the same spot of my scalp and I had to forcibly move my head so she wouldn’t burn the shit out of my scalp. She then was hovering over my husband and I until we paid and the guy checking us out kept asking my husband for a tip.
At this point I’m convinced that the people that post this place on social media and give it great reviews were paid to do so - we were so excited to try it out after all the raving reviews on social media, but it’s definitely NOT worth the hype nor the $. Save your money...
