Bagnell Dam — Attraction in Lakeside

My rating is probably high due to nostalgia. I grew up going to the Lake of the Ozarks and as soon I could drive I would cruise the strip. But it really is a pretty cool place. It is turning a little bit more adult now with more bars there. But it's still a cool place...

Interesting to learn how the dam generates electricity and how it was built. I enjoyed seeing the birds. We didn't pay to go here we just parked and walked to the dam, we also visited the little park that overlooks the dam as well....

Cute shops. Our favorites were Sunshine Daydream and Dogpatch. The Leatherman sold high-quality leather goods. Great spots to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The arcade is a must for kids...
