Popped in with 5 other close friends (we are all about 40yo) for the first time. Fun environment, good music, friendly bartenders. Was very frustrated though when I stepped outside for 30 seconds to chat with a few in my group, and when I turned around to go back in, was told by some kid at the door I couldn’t go back in “because it was last call” and after last call they don’t let anybody in. Perplexed, I explained I had just stepped out for a minute and needed to rejoin my group. He was adamant that I couldn’t do that…. So I went into acceptance that some things are just idiotic, and I can’t control or correct all the lamebrained things in life.
We waited - 15 minutes went by, we all needed to go, but one in our group was still inside. Tried to have a man-to-man convo with the door troll “we really have to leave now and our friend is still inside, I’ll be right in and out” but he still refused to let me in.
I won’t be returning to The Cuddy Cabin because management clearly doesn’t have good judgment, people skills, class or respect for their adult customers. If you value your dignity as a mature adult and don’t want to get treated like an insolent child, I’d recommend avoiding this establishment altogether. Find a place that trusts, respects and appreciates its paying customers.
To the Cuddy Cabin owners: there’s lots of $$ on the lake but if you keep a troll at your front door that splits up groups, that $$ will soon stop flowing in your direction....
Read moreJust a couple of locals stopping in to see what was going on. Not much of a greeting walking in. We decided to look at them with a questioning glance to discover "set where you like" only you don't know all the options so we ended up moving after setting down. Ordered two old fashioneds and they tasted completely different. One was too sweet, the other was probably on par but hard to tell drinking it out of plastic. An $11 drink should be served in glass, but hey that's just my opinion. Having no cocktail menu should have been the first clue, but this place probably doesn't want to be known for good cocktails. Point taken, we won't come back for a drink. The food selection is short, but the food was good. Chicken sandwich was fresh, hot, and tasty. Homemade chips were good as was the fries. Lots of seasoning. The waitresses was cute, and friendly but forgetful. Lots of tvs inside but only had two channels going on all. Good place for a quick bite and beer. Needs a little more vision to make it on the strip in our opinions....
