Terrible haircuts here for two years and today I decided to end my appointments every 4 weeks. Single process color dye jobs barely ok except for ruining my sweatshirt or getting wet from the rinse job or missing neck hairs repeatedly.. Then a month ago the receptionist asked me to post a review, which I didn’t bother because I wasn’t really happy, until this past visit when I asked for a trim. The whole experience was so bad, even after we discussed it for too long because the stylist, Grace, was not getting it. She told me the issue was maybe because of menopause. Rude but I ignored that comment. Then she whacked into the disaster of a haircut. Too much cut off the bottom not even near my shoulders and the shortest layer from top starting below my lips, when I had asked for a shorter layer starting above my nose and layers down to length at my shoulders. I even sent her a video demonstrating the haircut I wanted 6 months ago but she didn’t really incorporate the techniques then so apparently she can’t learn new skills. All she did this time was whine about not being able to layer the top, then just cut off the bottom 3 inches. Too bad because the first stylist I had at this shop was pretty good, but she quit after 8 months right after Christmas and the receptionist suddenly became my new stylist. Cannot recommend this salon. Never saw or heard from the owner. Cost me $128 with tip for root touch up and trim every 4 weeks. My recent “trim” has 3 inch long stragglers hanging down my neck that she missed with the straight across cut near the nape of my neck. The grey roots she missed (again) down at my neck are very obvious now. I also had to remind her to pull the color through again because she keeps no records or doesn’t refer to what services I need every month. Do I want deep conditioner to make my hair flatter? No thanks Grace. Sick of explaining to you how to care for, cut, color and style my hair. Then after I called upset at the service and left a message, my phone number was blocked at both stores. So apparently they have issues with unhappy customers complaining on top of everything else. I will take my cash elsewhere and you should too. I am posting a picture but it’s embarrassing. This is how she cut my hair. Just straight across the bottom, uneven with stragglers of my old length. I can’t even put it in a decent ponytail, and forget about a french...
Read moreOk - so I felt like this girl deserved a good review for the haircut I just got. I practically have to beg stylists to give me serious layers. Only one time ever have I walked away with a haircut with the amount of chunky layers I asked for, and it was from a girl who had been cutting years for 20 years. I don't know where she went though...:( My husband got me a gift card to Blushing Beauty for my birthday and despite the good reviews I was skeptical because it seemed like this place was more for getting hair dyed than cut (just my first impression). I finally bit the bullet (so-to-speak) and called yesterday for an appointment. They got me in the same day with a newer stylist, Kaitlin (Kaitlyn? forgive my spelling...I'm sure I got it wrong). She had only been cutting hair for two years and is new to the salon. I was skeptical and to be honest, the haircut took a long time...BUT...I walked away with a haircut I've been trying to get for years. I have always loved the super chunky, layered, bohemian look and SHE PULLED IT OFF. It was a huge change for me, so I felt a little unsure of myself walking out, but when I got home and analyzed her work...it's a masterpiece. Normally, stylists are afraid to give me serious layers, and she knocked it out of the water. It did take some coaxing, I admit, but I understand because I'm sure there's more people than not that get p*ssed if too much gets cut off. I'm of the motto that, hey, it grows back, right!? But seriously, this is the cut. She did it. I was thinking I'd spend my gift card one time and then keep looking for a new stylist elsewhere...but I think she's my girl. As she gains more confidence I'm sure the sit time will shorten, but at this point I got such a great cut that I don't care. I'll be going back next time I get a cut (in about a year...that's my recycle time) and I hope she'll still be there or else I'll be spending months on end looking for the perfect stylist...like I usually do. Also, Ashley did my eyebrows and they came out really nice. It didn't burn as much as it has in the past...she was super gentle, and they look great. Thanks...
Read moreI came to this salon in hopes that they could help me out. I checked out their work on Instagram. Thought I would give them a shot.
I started to transition grey in 2019. I had an awesome stylist who assisted me and took very well care of me back home, in Texas. Sometime in late 2020 we ended up moving and didn't have a good outcome with my hair.
I decided to let my hair rest for 6 months and give Blushing Beauty a shot. Though I understand the reality of things I had little expectations And quite honestly nervous about trying a salon again but I'm glad I did. Jessica worked with me in getting me back to what my vision was. (See last photo)
My grey hair is very vibrant however I do have very warm undertones that is not done correctly, it can easily result into a brass mess, hence the first couple pics. But after doing her magic, Jessica got me back to a close enough stage to transition to without looking like I'm transitioning grey... again!
Now please be prepared cause this ain't your garage type of salon nor prices. But the job itself and outcome made it worth it. I'm sure the maintenence will be a lot cheaper to care for. The ladies of the salon where all very nice and welcoming. The salon itself very cute. I may have just found my spot. Thank God for Jessica's hands and for literally transforming my hair...
