Wish I could give this place 0 stars. Don’t come here if you’re deaf or hard of hearing. Unless you want to be treated like garbage over simply not hearing your order being called out. Also if you want to be ignored by the owner when you bring your issues to her attention. Also this is coming from a server of 8 years. This “customer service” sucks.
I came here with a friend like we’ve done plenty of times. We ordered our food and coffee which combined with tip was about $50. We informed the barista we were going to sit outside since they told us it would be about 10 minutes or longer for our order. She had no issue. We go sit outside and after a bit the manager comes out with such a nasty attitude it took us by surprise. She had two drinks in hand and said “I called this out 3 times is this yours (clearly it was as we legit just ordered and it wasn’t busy) proceeded to name off the wrong drinks with an attitude. I told my friend I’d go wait inside since we were still waiting on food and my drink. I sat in the windowsill for 15 minutes: the barista handed me my burrito but I still was waiting on my frappe. I was INSIDE the coffee shop the entire time thinking they were making my frappe. Both of them knew I was there and I clearly did not have my order. I even approached the barista a 2nd time to request they put caramel sauce in my cup and she never once told me the coffee was ready. I sat back down and waited some more.. to the point I had to look at my friend and said dang how long does it take to make a frappe?? At this time the barista, rude and aggressively yelled out TURTLE FRAPPE.. I get up to grab my coffee and it was sitting on the other side of the counter the ENTIRE time I was in there. I was shocked. I grabbed my drink and asked the “manager” Christine why she didn’t tell me my drink was up. She again said I called it 3 times again with an attitude. I was so upset. She clearly DID NOT CALL IT. I was sitting INSIDE the entire time. I went off. This clearly was her trying to prove a point and be petty over the first encounter she had with my friend and I.
Instead of simply stating hey I don’t know if you heard but I called your drunk it’s at the end of the counter. She just ignored me and watched me sit there waiting for something that was already made. She just let the drink sit there and get melted and nasty. ALSO didn’t even make my drink right. No caramel like I requested 2x. Completely disrespectful and so petty I couldn’t believe it coming from a manager ?? And the owner simply does not care that her employees treat her paying customers like this. I reached out via email 3 times and was ignored. This is why small businesses go OUT of business. Lost 2 very loyal customers (we would come 3x a week at least).
Also would like to add that this isn’t the first time “manager” Christine has been mean and nasty. She repeatedly has an attitude when we come in here. Just last week my same friend chalked her behavior up as her having a bad day and even tipped her $20 to try and make up for it. Still didn’t change her attitude. I’ll be spending my money elsewhere. And like I said if you are hard of hearing or deaf...
Read moreI’ve always loved this establishment. I used to come here every day before work and thought I had built a good rapport with the staff. The food is great, and the drinks are flawless, so it’s disappointing that I’m writing this.
On the morning of Friday, October 4th, I visited as usual, and I was on the phone with a friend while waiting to order my drink. I wasn’t being loud, using inappropriate language, or causing any disturbance. As I’ve done many times before, I patiently waited for the barista to finish other orders, even telling her to take her time.
However, when she approached me, she said, “I’m going to wait for you to finish your call because I find your being on the phone, offensive.” I was confused since I’ve always been on the phone here without any issues. If it were company policy not to be on the phone, I would’ve understood if she had explained it to me politely. Instead, her exaggeration, labeling my phone call as “offensive,” felt unnecessary and unprofessional.
I’ve always appreciated the hard work of the staff, but this experience has unfortunately turned me off from returning. This business has now lost a loyal customer. The only reason I’m not giving it a one-star rating is that this is still a great...
Read moreMy first time here just now I came to just the best smell of fresh food and coffee beans. The atmosphere was so delectable and homely. The smell was caressing my nose and the nice chalkboard menu was neat to see. All types of people were In there and just talking, it may be the stereotypical Cafe experience but it was my first time there.
For the food I bought am everything bagel with cream cheese, a pup cup, one of those scone things I can't exactly remember, and a French and Caramel cappuccino. The pup cup came nearly instantly peanut butter slathered through the cup and topped with whipped cream, my dog dug into it when I got back. Scone came second, topped with maple and rather dense, maybe it was the milk ratio, still delectable nonetheless. The Caramel cappuccino came third, my cousin loved it, she loved everything about it from the temp to the flavor but the only regret she has was that she didn't get a larger size. And the bagel came last, goodness me I wish I had bought every food item in the menu because if that was considered a like a sample... goodness me, golly gee, that was an amazing bagel.
Lastly, the service was really nice. I wish I had stayed to eat over. I do hope I get to walk...
