New China King — Restaurant in Lakewood

an update to my already positive review: yesterday i accidentally ordered my food to the wrong address, by the time i realized it i had already received a call from the delivery driver and the person who lived at my old address, i had the driver leave my food with the new tenant and the new tenant put it outside for me. unfortunately the food was taken by someone else (that is not the fault of new china king or the new tenant) the owner of new china king called me to make sure i received my food and when i explained to her what happened she apologized multiple times and offered to make me the food again and deliver it to me the following day. she corrected and apologized for a mistake that was not her responsibility to fix and was exclusively my fault. when i picked my food up today they made sure it was hot and fresh like they always do. the owner offered me my tip and a 10 percent discount (i declined both offers like i said it was not her mistake to fix) i can not express my gratitude and thankfulness enough. i've said it before and i will say it again i absolutely love this place and i wish i could give more than 5 stars.

the best chinese food i've ever had. they have so many vegetarian and vegan options they're so accommodating. the food is always scorching hot even if you arrive late to pick it up they'll be happy to serve you even if you order at the last minute and the food will still be the same quality as it would have been if you ordered earlier in the day. they are the only chinese place i know of that gives free food when you order a certain dollar amount which is a great perk. after moving away from lakewood i have driven an hour just to come eat their general tso tofu and every time i'm in town i still eat here! if you don't order from them for awhile they'll send you a cute little email checking up on you. they work so hard. i...

HORRIBLE FOOD DO NOT ORDER BUYER BEWARE

Food is lukewarm and distgusting, tasted like it sat under a warming lamp all day.

I ordered my food with no vegetables, and it game loaded with peppers that were burnt to a crisp. The managment preceded to argue with me and tell me peppers are not a vegetable.

None of the staff can speak proper english, and what they do speak is so terribly broken you can not understand it.

They offered to leave exchange my food, then refused when they brought it to the door because i had tried 2 pieces of the disgustingly peppery crusty dry chicken before i called to inform them of thier mistake.

The delivery driver preceded to threaten me and stood in my front yard demanding i pay for the new order for over an hour. I considered calling and told him i was going to call the police and he still stayed.

I hope one day this resteraunt will understand a buisness in america is about customer relations, building a friendly base and having repeat customers come back. Reguardless, my family will NEVER be dining...

What a great spot! Love the online ordering direct thru their website, so no added fees, besides the really cheap delivery fee! I accidentally put the wrong phone number, so when the order was being delivered, she couldn't get ahold of me. Still got the food handed directly to me, as she really made an effort to figure out where the food was going. My bad! The food was so yummy that my partner and I were silent almost the entire meal.
