RACIST! RACIST! RACIST! I went to this bowling alley with my family and had an awful experience with the older man who works there. From the moment we walked in and went to the front desk we were greeted with hostility from this man. He was very aggressive as well as short with us and had an un-warranted attitude toward our presence. We were charged for two games even though we bowled during their free bowling hours (UNLIMITED GAMES FOR THE PRICE OF SHOE RENTALS AND THE LANE PER INDIVIDUAL). Not to mention we saw first-hand a large party of 15 (very drunk and vulgar) individuals who were all white males and another party of all white individuals had been waived of paying just before we walked up to pay. Then when we came up to pay for their service, we were accosted by this individual with more aggression and he and another employee muttered to themselves under their breaths about us. We were nothing but respectful patrons. It is not a matter of being charged for services rendered, rather, being treated unfairly based off the color of our skin and being taking advantage of and being charged double for no reason. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR YOU WILL NOT BE WELCOMED! There was an older woman who worked at the bar/consession stand that was very nice and hospitable, that said, WE WILL NEVER FREQUENT THIS...
Read moreI have been a regular at Madison Lanes for years so I feel qualified to write an informative and unbiased review of a place I consider my second home. Atmosphere: the perfect mix of new-age decor and 80s irony will have you feeling like you just came off a 1983 booze-fueled, weekend at bernies type bender Staff: Madison lanes have managed to procure A waitstaff that might be confused with a Victoria's Secret fashion show, depending on how many ipas you've had. 10/10 would put my balls in their gutter. Food and Drink: if artisinal snacks and craft beers are your thing then you are in luck. If you squint your taste buds just right, the pbr cans and nacho cheese sauce create a gourmet aroma and taste only rivaled by super chef Bobby flay.
Don't take my word for it, experience this Lakewood institution...
Read moreVery disappointing. We have been going here for many years with our family and friends. New policy is terrible and the man at the front desk is very rude. You pay per hour instead of per game. We had 5 people bowling and only made it through 8 frames before the lane shut down and we could not finish the game. (That include 10 minutes of the lane having technical difficulties ) We could not pay more to finish game. We were told we had to get back on the list and wait for a lane to open up. By this policy we would never be able to finish a game. When we told the man at the desk this makes no sense he rudely replied, good for us too bad for you. I have never seen such bad customer service and manners. Unfortunately we all agreed we would never go back. So sad. I would recommend...
