My two year old fell straight down the spider web. From the very top to the bottom. Crash. Since parents are prohibited from going on the second and third floors I couldnât see where she was going or stop her before she got hurt. In addition, the signs are ridiculous. One sign says âparents prohibited etcâ and the sign directly next to it says âplease supervise your kidsâ. Just, what? Dangerous. Toddlers are just supposed to fend for themselves?
I went directly to the front desk to say that my child fell as I was unable to accompany her per their policies. They sort of understood? But in the end I didnât see them taking any responsibility or action. I also told them that my daughterâs limbs or head could have been snagged through the straps as she free fell down. They said oh no theyâre elastic itâs fine. No. Itâs not fine. Itâs like Lord of the Flies in there.
I donât see their weird policies changing. Iâve seen other similar complaints online and here we are.
Half hour later I was feeding my toddler in the snack area her lunch I brought from home. (Edit: I didnât feel like giving her lunchables. Thatâs not lunch. Any healthier choices for a meal at your establishment?) The same woman I told about the accident involving my baby marches up to me and tells me I have to feed my daughter in the front lobby. No outside food allowed. Feed her in the front lobby? No tables chairs? Iâm just supposed to balance the food and try to catch my daughter and feed her? While dodging patrons coming in n out? The whole experience felt unwelcoming, dangerous, and just unpleasant.
Iâd skip this place.
**In response to the person that responded to my review.
I did not ignore the woman that told us to leave the snack area. I told her I preferred not to. I told her politely Iâm sorry but I am pregnant and I wasnât going to inconvenience myself physically by giving my toddler her meal in the lobby. I was not the only one eating. I was feeding my child. Donât be petty. In fact the employee was being petty and rude to us. She said with restrained anger we can stay since itâs not busy but basically weâd usually be kicked out basically for not following the rules. I told her weâd clean after ourselves, which we did, and even apologised for not wanting to leave the area. I actually regret my apologetic demeanor especially right after her negligent attitude after my baby fell.
Do better for...
Read moreMust read and will post this as many times, as I need to so no other family experience this. This was our 1st experience today 12/9/2023 as guests to a birthday party. We arrived to this birthday celebration, expecting to play and see our family members. My nephew 4 and niece 7. We have a 3 and a 10 year old. When we arrived we were asked about the wavier âď¸ already done, then were asked to check our son height The 10 year old, He was a few centimeters over the limit and was told he could not play on any of the structures, or even be near them. They placed a yellow band on him wrist and repeatedly told him and I he could not play or be nearby structures. Before we could given go in. They explained he was only allowed in the party room which is basically the room you rent for guest to eat or near the restroom where they had 3 arcade. I couldnât believe how they kept repeating this height policy, I explained our son is type one diabetic and needed to be near me for his insulin and blood sugar level. Plus I have my 3 years old so why couldnât he be near by the structures? Once again I was told itâs just the policy, I asked to speak with a manager to make sure I understood what theyâre were saying. Before I could get a word out , I see adults playing with their kids , confused by the situation I asked about the height limit again. This time it was explained as, if your 18 and older you can go into the structures but if your under the age of 18 and over the height limit you can NOT go near or in the structures. Even with the waiver and an adult , What?!? How does this make sense. Already upset confused, I look at my 10 years old face and he is devastate, I really wanted to leave at this point , the staff had pointed him out making him feel ashamed of his height as grown men are playing. I didnât want to cause anymore negative attention as this is a child party and we drove 60 miles to see our family. So for the next two hours we stood in the party room as the staff walked around more concerned about the height limit and cleaning the area, than the kids. Never will I go back and honestly the owner should be embarrassed to have employees who treat 10 years or anyone kids this way. Btw they do have an area for toddlers and itâs 3 and under so plenty of space for...
Read moreI would have given this indoor playground 4-5 stars based on its spaciousness, cleanliness and frankly how much fun my son has here. However, after my experience dealing with a couple of very rude staff members, it gets 2 stars from me for the poor customer service. We reserved an expensive room at Kidz Town for my son's birthday, and following the 2 hour allotted time, a couple of staff members approached our guests like drill sergeants commanding our guests to leave Kidz Town immediately. In particular, there was one staff member with blue hair who had a particularly offensive and abrasive approach when continually hounding my family members to leave. When I asked for her name, she replied, "I don't have to tell you my name." I was taken aback by this.
As I was never provided her name, I'll refer to her for review's sake as Blue Hair Staff 1. When I asked Staff 2 standing nearby what Blue Hair Staff 1's name is, Staff 2's lips became sealed. At this point I was feeling confused as to where I was and how employees of a reasonably large venue could be so unprofessional. When I finally spoke to the "supervisor" on site (whether he was actually the "supervisor" needs confirmation), I explained to him there is a professional and courteous way of enforcing the 2 hour time limit without offending party guests. Bottom line, I would highly discourage you from booking an expensive party room at Kidz Town unless you feel like dropping a lot of money for your guests to be hounded by Kidz Town drill sergeants to exit the building immediately following the short 2 hour time slot. 2 stars for the unprofessional and downright offensive customer service in an industry catering to children where one should expect a reasonable level of warmth and...
