Carwood Shopping Center — Local services in Lakewood

Whoever own this property is hiring a landscape company that is absolutely butchering the trees. Tree topping is never an acceptable practice, and is actually illegal in many jurisdictions. It harms/kills trees, takes away wildlife habitat and is terribly ugly. Large parking lots need tree cover for shade and to keep the temperature down in the nearby area. Large trees also raise property values and add to the beauty of our city. Stop being cheap and butchering the trees! You can see the last time they topped the trees (removed 100% of the green)...

First of all, I was not aware that this area was called the Carwood West Shopping Center. It seems to be a popular shopping area for locals since it has Sprouts, Harbor Freight, Alin Paper Company, HomeGoods, Centinela Pet , Smart and Final, and Marshalls. I personally come here to go to Harbor Freight. Close parking is always a challenge. Just park along the outskirts, all the stores are close.
