It's bad, I know, but sometimes you just have to indulge in a cheap wiener.
Not an expensive hoity toity wiener, with ground lion meat & unicorn horn shavings. And, not a street dog where the hygienic practices can be uncircumspect.
Definitely not a congressman, either, who likes to go by the name of "Carlos Danger."
No better place, IMO, than Der Wienerschnitzel.
This new location opened up a few years ago with the revamp of the entire shopping area, with Sprouts, Homegoods, Harbor Freight Tools and others bringing in the much needed tax dollars.
Recently, Wienerschnitzel had their promo for $0.15 plain/chili/mustard/kraut dogs. Holy savings, Batman! I drove up here faster than a kid with the runs looking for a toilet.
The interior is kept clean and pleasing to the eyes. Ordering at the front is a breeze with friendly staff awaiting to take your order The other Wienerschnitzels near me lack interior seating, which this location has. The layout is similar to an In N' Out and/or Five Guys.
There's something about that chili. It's so good. Maybe they put crack in it, but it makes me do cartwheels when no one's looking ;p I also mightily enjoy their Polish sandwiches and their items with pastrami.
Last, but not least, chili cheese fries. Oh yeah, baby!
And, don't forget the Tastee Freez ice cream to finish off your sausage fest.
Guess what? Free lollipops! That deserves 1 star in and of itself.
Funny thing, the door is push to get in and pull to get out. I sat in my truck checking out the customers that would pull the handle, only to find out it's push. I guess the builder goofed on placing the doors. Fun times!
In a nutshell (Get it? Wiener? Nut? Hehehe....), I recommend checking out this Wienerschnitzel to satisfy your meat tubage cravings. The restaurant is well kept and the food, albeit not exactly healthy, offers flavor without spending too much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was awesome until I checked my bag when I got home lol. the food delicious as always. It was free corn dog day with purchase with each separate purchase....this is important to the story. My son and I went there for separate orders. I ordered the meal with the chili burger and chilli dog fries and drink. My son ordered something different we both paid separately, he in cash I later for mine with my card separate receipts and everything. My son's order was fine, he got everything plus his free corn dog I got my food there was a corn dog but my chili dog was missing. The cashier changed my order to minus the chili dog in the meal and swapped it for the corn dog instead of my meal plus the free corn dog. My only comment is if it's only walk in only for the deal that's cool, but I was super clear and communicated these were separate orders because I asked if it was ok to do first and didn't assume so my son and I could each get free corn dogs. The cashier took the orders separately, verified everything gave totals separately repeated everything separately and I re-checked if it was ok to do it like that again at the window and thanked the lady at the window. At no time did I say I wanted nor was I asked if I wanted the corn dog in lieu of of the chili dog it was in addition to the free corn dog So, I didn't know until I got home. The food was delicious I was just like ahhh man when the chilli dog wasn't in the bag with everything else. I STILL recommend. I'll still go back I just won't participate in the deals it was the first time I tried to or I'll check my bag before driving...

When I was ordering I noticed that the water dispenser on the counter was leaking into the tray was sitting on which was getting ready to overflow. I mentioned that to my cashier and she looked at me as a no. She can't do anything about it continue to drip in flood. Finally a customer went to get some water from the cups and turned it off. I had don't understand why the employee did not do something about it or at least tell someone.
I ordered iced tea with my meal then I go to the beverage bar and there's no ice tea dispenser. One of the women behind the counter said we are cleaning out the dispensers in pointed to four dispensers sitting there on the floor. Then she started to walk away. So then I asked her does that mean I can't have ice tea and she goes oh no I have it poured into a cup or pitcher here in the back. So I had to get her to get my iced tea for me. Later when I went to refill they were busy so I just did not get one.
Later some customers came in with a dog on a leash. I was not aware you could just bring your pets into a restaurant. Seems a little...
