Absolutely terrible experience. I returned two pairs of shoes and some support garments for my wife who is hospitalized. I had the original receipt and it was within 30 days. The cashier looked annoyed when i told him I had a return and called a manager stating, "it's over $100 and he has a receipt). He then proceded to examine the merchandise and pulled the price tag off one of the shoe when trying to look at it. The original packing was inside the shoes and the manufacturers labels were still attached and were in the boxes. An afficious young lady arrived and immediately grabbed the pair of shoes that the cashier was holding and examined them stating they were worn, dispite the label in the heal section being intact and not even indented from a foot being placed on it. I said they were not worn and she then becamne very aggressive and told me she woukld not return the merchandise. I asked for the district managers name and number and for the store manager. She would not provide the DM's number but did call the store manager telling her I was "returning used items" and "causing trouble.". The store manager arrived and said she would return the other pair of shoes and items and wold give me store credit for the shoes. I tried to explain that it was impossible that the shoes were worn. The assistant manager butted in and stated she had pulled rtocks out of the soles of the shoes, to which I laughed because the shoes were in perfect condition with a little smudge of dust on the one sole. The manager asked her to be quiet left and returned to give me the DM's number and left again. The cashier started processing the return and the assistant took the receipt and told him to go slow, then proceeded to make a call and read off the receipt and transaction number. After a few minutes she handed the receipt to the cashier and stood glaring at me. When I looked at the return receipt the one pair of shoes were not listed. I asked where mt store credit was and she told me, "I am not returning those or giving you a credit." I objected and tossed the DM's number on the counter asking them to call him. She then stated in a loud voice so everyone could hear that I was "disrespecting the staff and her" then told me "you need to leave this store". Using her radio called security. I told her I waws not leaving and to get her manager back out. Security arrived and stood behind me glaring. The manager arrived and the assistant again interupted and hasd top be told by the manager to be quiet. The manager issued me a store credit and I left but had to give them my ID so they could record it. I have not had my call returned from the district manager or had a person call me back from their corporate office after I called customer service. I will never set foot in this dirty unorganized store staffed by...
Read moreI came in here bc I needed a pair of black pants for an event. I thought since brand was not a factor, I could just find a great deal. I walked in only to find another customer rifling through the racks while systematically cluttering clothes he was not in favor of on top of the racks. As I said excuse me to get to the pant section, but he felt it necessary to get in my face about how rude I was for "not waiting my turn" and I was in his way. The confrontation is meaningless at the end of the day, but I will say this. I remember a time when I could only get brand name products in my price range going to these outlets. Nowadays, there are more companies going directly to the consumer and online shopping has been getting easier and easier with Amazon Prime and stores offering easy free returns. From now on, I'm going to avoid the demographic of people that shop here and take my business to where I'm appreciated. Dear Marshalls, you can keep the riff raff. I'll...
Read moreYesterday, Dec 27th, I encountered a VERY rude employee over such an unnecessary situation. I wanted to purchase a 2-pack bra, however it was missing one. I noticed it was marked down so I decided to ask a floor associate for help. She insisted that even though the bra was marked down already, they would further mark it down because it was missing one. She told me it would be no problem. I didn’t think much of it. I went to checkout and before I could even explain much to the cashier, she was rudely talking loudly at me about the markdown and that she wouldn’t mark it down. As I tried to explain to her another 2 times about the encounter with the sales Associate from the floor she just ignored me and so I told her I wouldn’t be buying anything from them. I understand the holidays can be brutal, but that is NO WAY to treat a customer. Won’t be shopping there...
