Ginzaya — Restaurant in Lakewood

I used to really love this place so this makes me upset BUT here goes. I come here every week and get all you can eat and I tip my waitress everytime, during the day there is usually just one waitress. Rarely are there two. But today there were two. So I thought, I'll get twice as much attention. There were two people at the bar and two tables being used on the floor where I was. 1)They gave me the menu once and never came back with it 2) they walked by every table and asked if everything was okay one table at a time and skipped mines everytime they did so. 3) I never got my second round of all you can eat, I usually order 3 times. The one time one of them made eye contact with me she came over and asked was I done. And in my head I'm thinking if I'm paying 24$ for just one round I'm definitely not tipping. This just bugged me so much because I come every freaking week and I tip and I'm always nice to them and I'm patient. The waitress was so happy when I asked for the check. I was clearly mad and she smiled at me anyways. I come alone every week and with a group of atleast 12 friends every month and now I'm never coming back. I guess it's time to find...

Service meh Food meh Quality of seafood meh

Sat down only two other people in the place at 1:30 on a Saturday. Rice tasted off like it wasn't either the correct kind or just sitting for way too long or not prepared correctly.

Our experience... We ordered 5 things to get started and they said is that it? Food was slow to arrive and just ok dish after ok dish. We had to remind the server that we ordered 5 things not 3 after we finished eating the first three dishes.

We ordered a few additional things and they were all just middle of the road. I would only recommend really sauce heavy rolls. The actual sushi we got was not good and we kinda regret ordering it instead of just more rolls.

Would I recommend this place probably not.

Not too expensive but kinda a bland experience. It feels like bland college...

The service is not so great. I wasnt sure if our waitress understood us 100% and she was ready to run from the table before we could give her details of our order. We had a picky child, a special needs person with a seafood allergy, and another person who doesnt like seaweed. We are very clear and specific on what we would like. It took a while for anybody to acknowledge us or even say be with you shortly. I dont think i will eat here anymore. The red tuna never seems to be fresh...so disappointed. The tempura is great. Myself as well as others don't care for chocolate syrup on the mochi and they never warn us and we forget...
