West Marine — Attraction in Lantana

I had the pleasure of making a delivery to West Marine so I will describe that in my review. Drivers should take exit 60 Hypoluxo Rd. Going south on i95 take the left 2 lanes on the ramp and then get in the left lane. There is an extra turn lane in the middle (no barriers) you should get into just past Public Storage. Turn left just BEFORE the Subway restaurant to go behind the plaza. The loading dock you see is for Winn Dixie, sorry! On the back side of that look for doors on the right that have "1389" on them. The white roll up door between them is where they will come out to unload you. The delivery went very easily however if you are there early there may not be anyone extra available to unload you yet. I was scheduled for 11 am. I arrived just after 9 am. I was still empty about 10:10 am. Pretty quick! If you have a tractor trailer they will bring out a pallet jack and lift it up to you so you can tailgate the load to them at the back door. Nice folks who are a pleasure to do business...

I'm in the service business myself and really hate giving a bad review but I've to when management/stuff don't appreciate customers. Customers are the blood that is running in the vain of the business and should be always treated with respect and most patience. If they don't know how to handle customers, then they should look for another profession. I don’t want to say that West Marine is a bad store because of a bad incident I had at the lantana store but I also had a bad experience at the Delray store too. Maybe it’s the same manger? I really like this location, so close to my home and they do have a nice selection but I will hesitate shopping...

New store in Lantana! Very well laid out and nice selection of clothing, marine accessories and hardware.

Manager was super friendly and very helpful. Gave me the information I needed to set up a commercial account and very interested in keeping up stock for the needs of the local boating community. Great savings when enrolled.
