Independence Plaza — Attraction in Laredo

My wife and I drop by almost every weekend. This plaza has a good little mix of everything. Starbucks, Carters, Petco, Ross, Hobby Lobby, TJ Maxx, and of course HEB Plus.

We’ve always been able to find parking because there are so many spots, but be careful with the peak times for Starbucks and Chick-Fil-A. The lines of cars get out of control.

On the foodie side, you have Chilis, McDonalds, and of course Chick Fil A. You can also get tacos sometimes. I think the place next to the AT&T store is called Tacos Locos, but that location has changed names a handful of times in the past 2 years, so I don’t know what it’s called now.

If you’re looking for other options, just hop on McPherson, and start driving south, and you have Jack In The Box, Wing Daddy’s Wendy’s, Church’s, Taco Tote, China Express, and the Golondrina Food Truck Park within a 2 minute drive.

HEB, I get confused. You would think that they all would be the same. But they are not, it seem as they have different owners or they have staff that are not in tune to the way HEB should be. This particular HEB is the worst of all I have been too. The product is old, store is dirty, staff don't take pride in there job. I have to be Honest HEB Management, you need to be on the same page. This one is run-down it seem that you have the worst quality of product here and that as a corporation your ok with this. I don't understand why you would do this. This is/was my favorite HEB to go shopping at but this last visit really upset me 😡. Everything was great up until we were checking out. Our cashier was good but the lady bagging our groceries was horrible. She would just throw random items in bags and toss my groceries in the basket. I had to tell her to be careful with glass items! The final straw was when she just threw my cake on top of all my bags. This woman should not be working there if she hates her job so much. My wife and I had to get after her for how badly she bagged everything. This wasn't even a young girl, but an older woman! Just unbelievable, worst service I've ever...
