Florida Penguin Productions — Attraction in Largo

I was a vendor at a Holiday Event at UTC put on by Florida Penguin Productions. As a business owner, we frequent marketing events throughout Florida. This was by far the worst experience I have had. While the event was decently organized, there was no marketing efforts put in- there were more vendors than attendees there. When I reached out to the production team to give feedback on my dissatisfaction, I was met with an "apology" but a complete lack of accountability. They simply didn't do their job marketing the event which resulted in a poor attendance. No social media posts, no partnerships with the mall, and it was tucked away in a corner hidden from traffic views (last year they promised it would be in a new location). There were numerous vendors walking around talking to others, asking if they did the same event last year and if this was the results. The lead coordinator Dagan, apparently new to his role, was extremely unprofessional and took my remarks personally and did nothing to rectify the situation. I would not recommend other businesses to support their markets as a vendor based off my most recent experience with them and how they handled...

Crab and Shrimp Fest an absolute ripoff. Charged $16 per person, and for what? We spent more time and less money at breakfast. This travesty was supposed to include a carnival with rides, shows, etc. There were no rides -- ZERO. There were maybe 15 craft vendors of the sort you see by the score at any one of dozens of free events in the area every year. Admission didn't even get us any food samples. We were out in less than an hour, and out 32 bucks for the effort, not to mention the drive from Tampa to Hudson to attend this bad joke. We will avoid any of this outfit's "productions" in the future, and everyone else should, too. There are far too many free events around here that deliver what they advertise for anyone to be paying for...

I've been attending the events hosted by this organization for years, and compared to other family friendly events, these are by far the best! My favorites are their Beer & Burger series, Crab & Shrimp Festival, Fall Festival series and SummerFest. They had a new on this year too, the Summer Rum and Seafood Festival which was super fun. Their events are way more affordable than most, the bands are always great, their Food Truck partners are super yummy, and their kid activities are worth a full day experience.
