New China Beach — Restaurant in Pinellas Park

New China Beach. It's a new chinese food place I am trying out. And I swear that I won't try them out again. I love chinese food. But this place was flawed. I ordered chicken noodle soup. It was mostly noodles and broth. The chicken had a soft texture as if seeming lime the chicken wasn't thoroughly cooked. At least I hope that it was chicken. Don't get me wrong. The broth was flavorful. But you need more than just noodles and broth. I also ordered the house egg foo young. It looks delicious. It is alright. However the dipping gravy needs improvement. And when I say needs improvement I mean actually changing your gravy. The gravy has a weird type of sour taste to it. Like it is soured Worcester sauce. I then tried to eat the house egg foo young by itself. It was them I realized just how greasy the stuff is. What you see in the plate with the house egg foo young is the actual grease I immediately spit out. I strained it out of the food through my teeth. I don't like wasting my money. Times are too tough to be wasting money. Only reason I didn't order Dominoes today is because I had Papa Johns yesterday. I thought the gravy would do some justice to the white rice. Boy was I wrong! Being from the NY/NJ area where delicious Chinese food is just about everywhere we were looking for a Chinese restaurant which would hopefully be if not as good as we have experienced at least good -- New China Beach is not it. As many of the reviews indicate they had the food delivered I went to pick up ours. Waiting outside due to COVID restrictions I could see inside the restaurant. Two children sleeping on cots in the middle of what would normally be the dining room. - I realize it is difficult to have a business and tend to your children however it immediately gave an impression of being "dirty". In addition, desks were piled high with all kinds of items in a very unkempt manner. I chose not to eat the food that was ordered, but my husband who doesn't have the same concern about sanitary conditions of food places (heck, he eats hot dogs from street vendors in NY). I tried to get a delivery from door dash. First of all they didn’t even start the order until I arrived and told me it would take 20 minutes. Wow…. Came back out to get my service dog and went in. Fully verified and registered as a service dog. Been to Iraq twice. After a discussion more like him yelling at me. I showed my paperwork on the dog and then his wife walked in yelling at me, once again showed the paperwork and they didn’t care and made me leave, now I’m out the money I was gonna make and the time it took to prepare the order and wait I could have delivered 2 orders in that time.
