I went to Kobe on a whim and if would be possible to give negative stars I would. We were sat very promptly and I asked for a highchair for my 18 month old son. We were given one without buckles on the straps. We had to flag someone down to get a new one. Unfortunately it got worse from here. So we ordered a bunch of sushi rolls from our server who couldn't wait to get away from our table to wait on other people since we only order water and about $35 in sushi. While we were waiting a stream of water came out from the fire suppression system all over ourselves and the table. It took a minute to flag someone down a we were moved to a different table without even a simple sorry. So after that our sushi arrived and the waitress ran away again and we were left without soy sauce or a bowl to put it in. My wife got up and grabbed one from anther table since our waitress could care less. The sushi looked nice but I took a whiff and it smelled absolute rancid. I passed on even trying some but my wife did and promptly spit it out. I got up and took my son out of his high chair and was trying to tell my waitress or someone that we would be leaving while not making a scene. Our waitress looked right at us knowing that she dropped off the food 2 minutes earlier and quickly looked away and continued on to her other customers that were obviously more important then us. That was it. I told my wife that we are leaving and nobody even looked in our direction as I walked around the entire bar trying to tell someone else that we were leaving because of the nasty food that was presented before us. This was in the top 3 worst restaurant experiences of my life and I plan on writing this review on every website that I can so that people don't get sick or have to go through what we went through. Do yourself a favor and go to any other restaurant in the world, you will be...
Read moreHands down the absolute WORST dining experience of my life, and I can't remember the last time I left a negative review anywhere. We waited an hour and a half for a few sushi rolls on a Thursday evening which was not not very busy. Stinky dirty plates from the other restaurant tables were piled up on the bar immediately in front of us all night. To top it off a few mothers were being VERY MUCH overserved alcohol in the booth behind us while their 2 children were pulling my hair and laughing about it over the very tall booths, meaning they were standing, stomping, screaming and almost knocking over my seat over and over the entire hour and a half that we waited while these moms had a great time getting drunk and laughing. There was not a shortage of wait staff either, likely too many for how slow they were. We got up and asked for our sushi to go, which has not even been started yet after an hour and a half! We waited, paid and left. Upon arriving home, the sushi was disgusting! I was hoping that the quality of the food would make up for the horrible experience. Nope! Very very dry rice, dry fish that was NOT fresh, barely any rice in the very slim sushi rolls, yellow dry wasabi, brown and spotted avocado, and dry browned pickled ginger. The whole experience was horrifying from beginning to end. DO NOT go to this restaurant! Ownership and management do NOT know the first thing about serving food or controlling alcohol consumption for health and safety, especially to mothers driving their toddlers home when they leave. An unbelievable...
Read moreBeware if you order take out!!! Read below. Very rude staff...been coming for years but now they just lost a customer. Placed a to go order over the phone and was told it would be 15 minuets, show up 20 minuets later and walk in to the take out counter. Nobody was around and when staff did show up they ignored me. Second person walks in behind me and the next staff member that walks past asks him what he needs without even looking my way. Once she helped him and finally greeted me I told her I was here to pick up my order. She said ok and took my money without another word. 20 more minuets pass and I still don't have my order and again the staff say nothing. I finally speak up about it and her response was just a "so sorry" in a rude tone. Meanwhile uber and all the other take out services are getting there food (some of them) left and right while I continue to wait. One of the other customers at the counter eating commented saying "yeah they have been a mess, its been interesting watching everyone get frustrated." I even saw uber drivers leave after not getting the food because it wasn't ready and they were waiting too long. After 30 minuets of waiting at the counter, and 50 minuets after placing my order initially, I finally received my food with one more monotone, rude "so sorry" as she walked away. I was just dismissed without a care, no manager ever showed up, and I was left with the feeling that they just didn't care. The food is ok, but it is not worth the service when there are 20 other sushi...
