As for my shopping experience at this store it's fine. The staff is okay there are some very helpful people on staff and if you come to this store as much as I do, you will learn who to.ask help from and just find those people when you need help. The rest of the staff shouldn't be bothered. They are only there to get a pay check. My real issue with this store and why i rated it so low is their online store pickup. I use this feature most of the time. The prices online tend to be better then in store and i also live 40 miles away from this store in the next town over. I'll place my order a day sometimes two before i am going to be in town. So one would think my order would be ready 24 to 48 hours later but nooooo. Till my last 3 orders I've had to pick my online order from the store myself and the last order was actually canceled because they were out of every thing i had ordered even though when i had ordered it the day before and they had plenty in stock when i ordered them. I guesd when they finally went to pick that order they were out of all of it, or so they told me when they called me to cancel the order. Oh this one is good, so i placed an order one day and had something come up the next day so i couldn't go pick it up the next day so i went the following day a solid 48 hours plus after placing the order. So when i get there the order is still not ready (no shock there I'd come to except that by then) so they print me my order so i can go pick it which was a good size order this time and I'm looking for the last item on the list which by this time I'm pushing one flatbed cart and pulling another one behind me. I find the last item but there are 2 carts in my way so as I'm moving the carts so i can get to my last item when i notice i have all the same items on my carts. Then i see the pick ticket laying on top and i see my name on the pick ticket and the date on it was was same day i placed the order. So who ever was picking my order i assume it was the end of their shift and they just left my order sitting in the isle for two days lol. They have also told me that the pickers are off at 6PM so if i place my hours 3 or 4 hours before they get off they will pick it that day otherwise they will pick it the next morning which doesn't explain why my orders over 2 days old were not ready but just wanted to give you that info too. I'm pretty sure the only reason my last orders have been ready is I'm pretty sure they have hired more people to help with all this COVID curbside pickup stuff going on at the moment. ...
Read moreI encountered a noteworthy situation during my recent visit to the store. I placed an order over the weekend and returned for pickup three days later, arriving at the store at 7:05 a.m. Upon my arrival, I discovered that the item was not prepared for pickup, despite having received notifications via the application and email reminding me to collect my order.
While I awaited the location of the item in the customer service pickup area, the representative assisting me called for additional help. A young man, who was assigned to assist her, searched the shelves for the item. After some time, he returned to inform us that he could not locate the item and had communicated this issue over the radio. I expressed to the representative that I needed to leave shortly for work.
During my wait, the representative informed me that they were still attempting to locate the item, as it had clearly not been prepared for my collection. I eventually decided to leave the store and subsequently contacted the manager to discuss the situation. During our conversation, the manager indicated that the young man assisting the customer service representative was in only his second day of employment, which was surprising given their apparent familiarity.
The manager inquired whether I could return later to collect the item, to which I agreed, albeit with some reservations. I also expressed my intention to escalate this incident to corporate. Later, upon reviewing my purchases in the Home Depot application, I discovered that the order had been canceled. This action appeared unprofessional and seemed to reflect a retaliatory response to my feedback.
This incident is not an isolated issue; I have previously experienced challenges with this store. I have provided the establishment with multiple opportunities to address these concerns, yet the situation continues to deteriorate. On on of my visits, employees were engaged in conversation and socializing, rather than adequately assisting customers, despite being notified through the store intercom.
Corporate stated that they will investigate the situation. I offered to send them the recording of my conversation with the manager as proof that she agreed to hold the item for me to pick up...
Read moreI normally don't shop at Home Depot in Lawton because of the consistent poor customer service inside the store. But lately I have purchased a large number of items from the garden center and found the employees there to be very friendly and helpful. Having been so pleased with the customer service there, I decided to go inside the store to look for metal adhesive. After interrupting several employees in different departments (because no one offered assistance when it was obvious I was looking for something specifically), I was referred to the paint department. I looked for a few minutes to no avail, so I interrupted 2 paint department employees. It was obvious that they were working on something, but I simply needed a general direction to where the adhesive was, so I stopped them and inquired. They stopped what they were doing, smiled at me and walked away down another aisle. No one even acknowledged that I had asked both of them a question. I thought that was weird, but they surely would be right back. Wrong. They never did come back. I had cash in hand to buy a quick item, but they walked away to work on whatever that surely did not bring any cash into Home Depot at that moment. I finally stopped 2 more clerks down another aisle. They pointed to the general direction. I found my item and checked out through the garden center. That cashier was a pleasant as ever. She is a credit to HD. I have to believe that the others get away with being non-caring or rude as the paint department was today because of poor store management. The customer service problem I experienced inside the store happens most the time. So I assume management let's them get away with it or it would stop, I would think. Today the garden center got an A+. Inside the store...
