As an African American man I thought we were way past privilege... I came into this bowling alley with my family and friends, with enough people to take up two lanes. They had us wait even when they had open single lanes.. Now why today I am bowling with my cousin and since we were only paying to use one lane next to a recently freed up lane, we were asked to move to a different lane. All just so they could accept someone else's money to use two lanes. Why wasn't my family good enough to receive that same treatment?? Read moreI can’t say enough good things about Thunder Bird Lanes... For the past five months, my buddies and I—active-duty service members—have been bowling there every weekend.
From the moment we walked in, the owners and staff made us feel like part of the Thunder Bird family. They were always engaging with us, sharing small talk and showing genuine interest in our games and skill progress. It really created a welcoming atmosphere that kept us coming back week after week.
We also had a great experience in their pro shop. Renee was an absolute gem, helping us choose the perfect bowling balls and offering tips to improve our game. Her expertise and friendly demeanor made the whole process enjoyable.
The staff at Thunder Bird Lanes is consistently friendly and super helpful, always ready to assist bowlers and ensure the place stays clean and inviting. It’s clear that they take pride in their work, and it shows!
Overall, this has been the best bowling alley I’ve ever visited, and I can’t wait to return. If you’re looking for a great place to bowl with a fantastic atmosphere and exceptional staff, Thunder Bird Lanes is...
