If I was solely rating the actual zip lining and the staff, I would give this place all 5 stars.
Zip lining off the Foxwoods Tower in itself was a phenomenal experience, especially for someone like me who is usually ridiculously afraid of heights. After receiving that initial push off the base, the view going over the trees and zip lining down to the museum was the most exhilarating experience ever.
The staff and crew was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everyone from the front desk staff to the people receiving us after our flight were exceptionally nice and very reassuring. As someone with a horrible fear of heights, this experience could have easily ended before I even made it up to the Tower had the staff not been as reassuring and caring as they were. They all made sure I felt as comfortable as possible and didn’t rush me as I took some time to breathe and conquer my fear of going through with the flight. I would give the staff 10+ stars alone if I could.
Now to the reason I only gave a total of 3 stars:
The entire experience, as phenomenal and fun as it was, is definitely NOT worth the money we paid ($59 per ticket). Even though I had a great time and loved every minute of it, it is not worth the money for the value you get. The zip lining itself only lasts about one minute once you take off, which is the main reason I don’t think it’s worth almost $60 per person. The only reasonable priced part of the experience were the pictures at the end. For roughly less than $35, you get to purchase all of the pictures they professionally took of you (as opposed to $15-20 per picture). We got a total of 45 pictures for that price which was a pleasant break for my wallet, and the pictures are definitely worth it.
Another reason I only gave it a total of 3 stars is that it was incredibly difficult to not only find the entrance to the Foxwoods Tower Parking because there really weren’t a lot of signs for it, but it was also incredibly confusing to find the way to the check in point. The little arrows on the floor inside the casino pointing to the “Highflyer Base” made it even more difficult, because it turns out the check-in was in the OPPOSITE direction the arrows were pointing at.
Again, great experience just really not worth the money and extremely difficult to navigate your way there. I would definitely come again if the price wasn’t so...
Read moreThis was a great experience for me and my wife! The staff at this establishment is absolute top notch. I would give the staff 10 stars if I could. Being a little older, we were concerned with making it up all the stairs to the roof, but they were so friendly and accommodating. The girl that took us up allowed us to take our time and do the stairs at our own pace. I wish I would have gotten her name so I could give her a personal thank you here. She was such a nice person, as was everyone working there. Kudos to the owners and management for finding, hiring, and training such a great bunch of employees. They really made all the difference in our experience.
Side Note: We were visiting Boston for the week and made the drive down just to do the zipline. It's only about an hour and a half drive from the south end of Boston. (tip: if you are someone with "all 50 states" on your bucket list, you can take the route through Providence and check off Rhode Island and Connecticut from the list). While you are there for the zipline, you can also check out the casino, and I also highly recommend visiting the beautifully designed Pequot Museum (located near the bottom of the zipline). Combining these things makes it well worth taking a day and making the scenic drive down...
Read moreThe Zipline was Fun not at all scary. The employees are excellent and completely take care of you in everyway to maintain safety and a fun experience. The only thing is they have a beanbag contest to go with it for $10 you can win $300 but don’t tell you your actually dropping the beanbag from way up in the air on your way down the Zip line to get it in the corn hole. So when I found out i was concentrating more on that then the ride and of course you have to drop it quite a bit before the target since its falling down but also flying forward since your going forward. I admit if I would of dropped it just a little while before i did. I had it straight in the middle it just landed on the back end of the target so i was very close. So was my husband whose landed a little to the left but also pretty close. We both just felt it took away from really getting into the Zip Line experience. We also think the cost of the Zip lining was not worth it and that it should have been much faster since it was so steep off the top of the casinos highest building. The view was amazing I can say that for sure. It was an experience we get to say we did but overall not one i would do again. Like I said the employees and guides...
