I took myself here for a dinner night get away. I had an amazing time, the atmosphere and music were great and the looks of the area pulls you in! I was seated by Ashley and I had such an attentive waiter! There were 3 who helped me with little questions along the way but one who handled all of my concerns… my main guy, Cesar. He was phenomenal and very accommodating! I hate not feeling seen at a restaurant and the staff pays attention to you. I love r&b and that’s what was playing in the background throughout the night, that was really enjoyable! It took me a bit to look over the menu but when I did, I was a bit annoyed that there was not an option for rice, nor any type of potato for the fried chicken meal, or any other meals at that. They only had the option of cheddar polenta and coconut grits, which are pretty similar and I wasn’t in the mood for either but I ended up choosing the Shrimp & Polenta Dish as my entree. I’ve always wanted to try fried green tomatoes and when I received mine, they were soggy 😣 so that was disappointing. I also don’t eat pork so I couldn’t get the pasta dish. To be honest, I wasn’t too impressed with the menu options and for the price I feel like maybe they could’ve added more seafood like scallop or lobster to make it a bit more enjoyable… especially for the prices. The heirloom greens just reminded me of a cold salad with cut up collards and mixed with other greens, but I wasn’t crazy about that either… And lastly, the appetizer, which was the island empanada, that was the best thing throughout the night. It’s a mix of oxtail and jerk chicken, and that appetizer was the best thing that I had ordered! I also ordered an espresso martini with whiskey, and it was so delicious, I ended up ordering three in total! Overall, Cesar was really attentive, and if I do go back, I hope to have him again! Marlena and Ashley were really great too… but my biggest critique is food options. Please add rice and/or potatoes of some sort (not the fries) as some people don’t just want a biscuit with their fried chicken and only a choice of polenta or grits. Overall I think this place is great and I’d love to go back…. Once they get some rice 🍚 😆

What a great experience! The experience started with our greeters who were delightful, welcoming us with great conversation. You enter into a beautiful space full of dim lighting and beautiful decor! I found the seating lacking space & comfort for large parties (7 of us), we felt the booth seating would have been tight. We were sat at 2 seater table tops, moved them together, this created an "ok" seating arrangement. In the end it was understandable as the location while beautiful lacks space only do to the size of the establishment. But they did their best for guest seating. Drinks were on point and beautiful dressed! The food presentation was wonderful. My only complaint about my dish (2 piece & biscuit) was the honey was poured on both the chicken & biscuit, and it was way to much, overly sweet. I'd perferer honey on the side. One of our companions orded corn bread and also felt it was overly sweet, as well as another who ordered hush puppies and stated the same. These issues were our only complaints and yes, they did put a note of disappointment in our tasting experience. The band was great. The pino player was just "ok", (opened for the band) we expected a bit of a diffrent selection in songs, such as jazz or maybe R&B, not so much lite rock. We will return and thank you all for a great time!

Grace by Nia is such a unique dining concept for Foxwoods and CT as a whole! I don’t know too many places in the state that have such a cabaret feel to them like this, let alone ones that feature a soul food menu. We were lucky to have such a great table close to the stage! The appetizers definitely started out strong. We really enjoyed the hot crab dip which had a thick layer of cheese on top! The plantain chips were a great pairing and held up well for scooping. I always order fried green tomatoes when I can, and we found this to be flavorful as well. The creole pasta was tasty, though it was very pepper flavor forward. This was only our second time trying oxtail, but we enjoyed it as it fell off the bone easily. It’s a great dish for those who like something sweet with the molasses braise and coconut grits. Our drinks were great, and our server was attentive for most of the meal. It was a little tough to get ahold of him when we were ready to box our food, and then it was hard to hear him over the volume of the music. Overall, I think this is a really unique dining experience. It’s a perfect excuse to get dressed up and have a nice night out at the casino, and there’s really not a bad seat in the house for enjoying the music!

I was excited to try their food, but I was denied access to the restaurant. I was informed by the hostess that they needed a reservation for 3.

We showed up exactly a 5pm when they opened, no one was inside the restaurant and no one was outside waiting in line.

Another group of 3 asked and they were informed the same, that the restaurant doesn't have any availability for 3 people at 5pm.

I was already trying to place a reservation for 5pm since yesterday, but their online reservation wasn't taking it. ( I do reservations to almost every restaurant I go to ensure I don't have these issues. We ate at Hells Kitchen yesterday with no fuss). When I saw that there was still a lot of openings I didn't bother trying repeatedly as I didn't really mind if I get a later reservation and it seemed like no one was placing any reservations as all the time slots were opened.

Then I checked again today, May 10th, and the same reservations are still available. I kept trying until it was 445pm, the reservation slot for 3 is still available.

We started heading to the restaurant and arrived exactly 5pm. We spoke to the hostess and was informed that they're only taking reservations for 3.

However, the hostess did not offer any resolution, offered to place a reservation and just kind of disinterested in having us dine with them. She was very dismissive.

As I was curious I reached out to their online concierge and inquired about their current reservations. Lo and behold a reservation was available for 530pm for 3. This really bummed me out as I am not sure the hostess was very dismissive.

I shared my experience with the online concierge and only recommended I speak to the manager on site. I didn't bother to continue speaking as this was such a horrible service already. I can only imagine what the actual service inside might be.

I honestly do not write much about restaurants, but I was with my wife and daughter for mothers day and it was very disappointing.

We ended up placing a reservation at David Burkes across their restaurant and their hostess was able to take a reservation for 3...

My family and I booked reservations for this restaurant in celebration of our sibling’s birthday. To our mighty despair, we ended up having a terrible experience. The service provided by management was beyond disgusting and disrespectful. She (Marlena), was rude and dismissive. When she approached us after our request of her presence numerous times, she had a very disturbing attitude and dismissive behavior.

Our concerns were about our entrees, as we had already experience a distasteful appetizer pallet. The food lacked taste and proper preparation. The meals were unappealing and cooked to misfortune. After explaining this to the GM of the establishment, she had no response and quickly walked away from the table.

We waited for a while until she returned and had to request her back as well. She came back with a half assesses resolution to provide a discount towards the entrees that we did not consume. We literally had a taste of the meals: Mac and cheese, salmon and rice, oxtails and grits, jerk peppered steak- and we pushed the plate aside. Poorly made and inedible.

We felt unclear on her position as her energy was futile and as we attempted to reason with her that the establishment did not provide a product up to standard and expectation. We complimented the areas and aspects of our experience that was going well and properly communicated the issue with our entrees. The GM was yet again, dismissive and disrespectful as she continued to walk away from us mid-conversation.

The GM eventually contacted security as she felt it necessary as if we were planning on not paying our bill even though we had just ordered another round of drinks (this was the only good thing we had there). The entire situation was made to feel as if she wanted to intimidate us when I clearly stated that I would pay the bill, but for them to know how terrible the food experience was.

All in all, I will never return to this establishment and I am in accordance with the other guests I engaged with during my exit—- a terrible menu experience. And now a miserable service...
