Lake Square Mall — Attraction in Leesburg

I moved here in June and avoided this mall based on the reviews. So sorry I did this. YES it's not the International Mall in Tampa or even the Countryside Mall in Clearwater. Give it a chance. If you don't shop here the 'big' stores you want to see will look at the revenue this mall makes and decide not to show up. No one is going to put a business in a poor traffic area. First of all it's CLEAN!! This mall was immaculate. Everywhere.The floors sparkled and no trash anywhere. Plenty of seating for those who don't want to shop just people watch. I see there are a lot of empty stores but it takes time and the ones that are there, very clean, great customer service. They all want your business and they are very helpful. This mall had everything I needed without all the excessive glitz of people hawking me as I walked by.Let's face it, if those Dead Sea products really worked, no one would be walking around with a face that looks like a deflated balloon. So even if there are Mom and Pop stores, I didn't see all that many, shouldn't we support our neighbors?? They are trying to make a living too. If you want glitz and drama then go to Orlando. December 2021:

The Lake Square Mall is a little odd. This Mall has been here forever and over the years it has lost lot of its customers and major retailers. At one point many of us were certain it would go out of business.

This was further worsened by Covid. So, if you go, do not expect to find a Macy's or a Dillard's.

That being said, there are a lot of things here you won't find in your typical Mall. There are several unique and/or independent boutique shops. The food court is primarily comprised of independent non-chain restaurants. There is an AMC theater that is highly under-rated and underutilized. The theater has oversized reclining seats. I believe these are in each theater which is a step above Altamonte AMC.

The Mall also has an entertainment center that has video games, a bowling alley, pool tables, and much more.

Between the unique shops and food services, the theater, and entertainment center, there are plenty of activities available. I would recommend visiting with the understanding that this is not much of a shopping mall.
