City star family diner — Restaurant in Leesburg

EDIT: 5/11/25, Mother's Day!!! We usually drive 17 miles one way to eat here on the weekends. We drive by other restaurants to come here, because we enjoyed the food (which is delicious!). On Mother's Day, they had gotten a rush and it was a bit chaotic when we arrived. A very nice lady (I think she normally works kitchen, but was helping due to the rush) seated us and after 5 or 6 minutes, she asked if we'd like coffee and we said yes, thank you. By now, tables are starting to leave, so there's no reason for our server, Mikayla, to be ignoring us. She finally takes our order (we pretty much order the somethings every time) and continues to fawn over newer tables coming in and still treating us as if we're invisible. I got up to get silverware and s+p shakers for our table. We asked for a coffee refill and asked Mikayla why we were being treated so rudely, since she was no longer in the weeds and still ignoring us. She decided that she wanted to get all sassy and be even more rude!!!!!!! NOT ACCEPTABLE LITTLE GIRL!!!! My husband and I are nice and fabulous cash tippers!!!! We both work in customer service and I'll be damned if I'm putting up with a smart mouthed young waitress who needs to up her game!!! Ive been the entire FOH for restaurants and she can't handle 5 tables for breakfast (most of them 2 toppers, at that!)? Seriously?!?! We still love Cyndi and recommend asking for her section if you do go in!!! She's amazing!!!! BTW: You should seriously shut down for a week and deep clean the entire place!!! Everything, including the bathroom floors, is sticky!!!!!! The overhead air vents are black and disgusting!!!! The food is so yummy i don't understand why y'all won't upgrade your dining room.

Let me just start with the owner is very inconsiderate but the waitress was awesome however I am 37 weeks pregnant I ordered the catfish and me and my sister both received raw catfish I wasn't sure if it was okay to be a little pink in the middle or not so I went ahead and ate the catfish and got sick when I asked to speak to the manager the owner wyell or however you spell his name kept sending out the waitress instead of showing his face for himself which I think is very rude for any business especially if you want people to come back you feed a pregnant woman raw food and you don't even come out to apologize for your own company I personally will never go back there again and I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. The only thing that was actually good was the mashed potatoes and gravy and that is very sad . For any of the older people that tend to go there a lot please be careful what you eat because not only was our fish raw the crab cakes was still runny in the middle raw the hush puppies were still dough in the middle which means raw and the manager refused to take the hush puppies off of the ticket when you're serving raw food to people especially pregnant women and postpartum women it's called family diner and I will never take my family there again because that owner is rude and unprofessional. Also before a comment gets thrown out I did order another set of the catfish which came out way better looking than what I first ordered and was taken home and fed to my animals because I wasn't going to eat...

Tonight dinner and service I was not happy with. I know we’re all going through rough times right now. But that’s no excuse for tonight service. This is our 5th or 6th visit and we’ve so far have had great food and service until tonight. My wife’s and mom food was great and tasted great according to them. But after getting our food, our waiter never came back and checked on us until almost the end. But I was tried I ate my Bottled Sauce full chicken wrap anyway. Well half of it. Once our waiter asked us how everything was. I explain to him that I couldn’t finish my wrap because it literally had too much sauce on it. Every time I took a bite. I had to take four or five napkins to wipe my fingers off. It was just going everywhere. He advised that he would tell the kitchen and apologize. I even told him that I could not eat anymore of it because of the sauce. But no he didn’t even try to fix it. That’s is no service in my book. Also in other words I had to pay for something I could not finish because of their Actions. If he would have came back to our table sooner like he should have. I would have sent it back sooner. But like I said, yes I ate half of it and I was hungry. So I probably won’t be back. Good knowing you...
