Read moreI always go to Ollie's first when buying books for children, youth, or adults. Any of the Ollie's stores I've been to always have a marvelous selection of just about any book genre. Puffy, washable first books for babies. The thicker, wipeable books for toddlers. Books of all kinds for school-aged kids, youth, & adults.
Ollie's also always has big books with lots of photos or graphics that are about a huge variety of subjects, ranging from animals to trivia to biographies & autobiographies, find-things-in-the-pictures to special interest topics like tractors, dogs, cards, farming, trains, machines & how they work, graphic novels, book sets, etc, etc. There is also quite a large selection of Christian novels, including my late mother's favorite, Christian novel genre, Amish.
You really CAN find something for just about anyone on your gift list! Do yourself a favor next time you need a gift that's not your run-of-the-mill kind. Go to Ollie's first & look through all the books they offer. The books are always to the right of the entrance, easy to find.
And I didn't even get started telling you about all the cookbooks they have! And the incredibly LOW PRICES for ALL THE...
Read moreI was in this morning. When I got the total, it was off but I waited for the receipt to verify. The cashier said my card want accepted and I needed to do debit. I did, got the receipt and saw 72.99 for a roll of plastic food wrap (2.99). I asked her if it was debit, does it count as cash, so she's be 72.99 over at cash out. She said no, but when she refunded my money, she asked if I wanted cash or to have it put back on the card??? So, debit does count asc cash?? That made me suspicious. A cashier could make a lot of cash if no one caught the error. I wouldn't ordinarily be suspicious, except I worked in corporate security and loss mitigation. Another thing to look out for is loose coins on the register. Here's how it works. The cashier over charges 20 dollars, but can't take it out of the register right then. She/he will place 20 cents on the register so she/he knows how much to pocket at the end of shift. In this case, however, she did scan the item a second time and it showed 72.99 for a 3 buck item, so it seems she acted in good faith. Just something for managers to...
