We eat wings at this establishment many times a year. Our friends do as well. The chicken plates and especially wings are hard to beat. However, this afternoon we went in, there was five of us, and all told we probably spent, nearly $70.00 plus the money placed in the tip jar. The food was great. NOW THE BAD. It was time to close the dining area and in our haste, trying to clear the table and area, my wife left her purse/pocketbook under the table. We left and were driving in to get some ice cream at the Villages when my wife went to get her purse and it wasn't there. Frantically, we searched the car, realizing it was left under the table at Maryland Fried Chicken. We quickly called the store advising we'd left it and they confirmed that YES, it was found. So we went back as quickly as we could, and when we got there, it was waiting on us. We picked it up and left. Naturally, my wife started checking, to make sure all was secure, and everything appeared to be intact except for some money. Credit cards transactions will need to be tracked closely now, for a few weeks, just because there was money missing. We had a transaction at the ATM inside the store to pay for the food and of the money retrieved, there was a twenty dollar bill left over. It was placed in the purse, and now it's gone. There was $7.00 left, but the $20.00 bill was just gone. There was a $10.00 bill in there too. And it too was gone. The $17.00 we had when we got there wasn't enough for dinner that's why we used the ATM. I don't like leaving a review like this, and my wife will call the store tomorrow to discuss with, hopefully the owner or manager, but our intent is to let him know what happened. Not to get the money back, just let him/her know that someone isn't...
Read moreStopped in while visiting my parents. First timer as there are no Maryland Fried Chickens in SW Florida. It's kind of funny, there is a KFC next door and a Popeyes across the street. No shortage of fried chicken in Leesburg 😂
We got the 21 piece Family Bucket to go. It easily fed 5 of us with some leftover chicken. Hands down the best fried chicken I've ever had. The chicken is moist, the skin is crispy & the seasoning is out of this world good. We got cole slaw, baked beans and mashed potatoes & gravy for our sides. They were all very good. The cole slaw was one of the best I've had as well.
My son wanted onion rings. You MUST get an order if you are an onion ring fan. These are the real deal. Crispy and delicious.
For the price you can't go wrong. We fed 5 people with leftovers for under $40.
5 stars for the fried chicken. 4 stars for the sides. 4 stars for the service. Friendly staff and the food was ready to go in under 10 minutes. 2 stars for the exterior/interior. Definately in need of an update. If you want a clean and modern dining room go to KFC/Popeyes. If you want great fried...
Read moreWoooo where should I begin?? We are k. Town for basketball tournaments and decided to give the locals a chance. We pulled up to this establishment and proceeded to order a family meal, after paying we realized we not asked if we prefer dark or white meat because our preference is dark, none of my family likes white meat! After we asked the guy at the window then told us it would be half and half, we told him we didn’t eat white, he than began to tell us how it would mess up their trays and how long they’ve been in business which is totally irrelevant! I do not see how a restaurant can force a customer to eat something they do not like! They should’ve asked us in the beginning of ordering! And then to start telling us how long they’ve been in business was over the top! We asked for a refund and went to the resting across the streets where we were treated right! Don’t have to worry about out us returning here! Rude service!...
