Verterra Winery — Attraction in Leland Township

Every year we visit Leland we try all the local wineries and every single time we are blown away by Verterra's wines and staff and wonder why we wasted time trying wine anywhere else. Their Late Harvest Vignoles and Reserve Red Cab are my fiance's and I's favorites. The prices are very fair, and the staff have always been friendly and personable throughout the years. The tasting room can get crowded but when it does we just take a quick trip to the cheese shanty for a sandwich, by the time we are done the tasting room has usually cleared out, but it's def worth a stop. I have not had wine here that I did not like so I recommend stopping by the tasting room on your next visit to Leland or buying a few bottles online (their wine mail packaging is great to hold on to for traveling between households as well. we've kept packaging from past orders for parties and events because it keeps the bottles...

We’ve visited Verterra Winery in the Leelanau Peninsula multiple times in the summer, and it has quickly become one of our favorites! The wine is fantastic—we especially love their sweet white wines. We’ve been to both the tasting room and the vineyard, and both offer such a great experience. The vineyard is absolutely beautiful, especially with its stunning views of the lake.

We had the best time visiting Verterra today. Colleen and Sara were unbelievable hosts. Given the inopportune times that the pandemic has introduced, the tasting room manager and team created a welcoming environment and a truly memorable experience.
