McKeever's Market & Eatery in Lenexa is a gem that truly stands out among other grocery stores. As a customer, I always find the store to be clean and well-maintained, making for an enjoyable shopping experience. The store gives off a slightly more upscale vibe than your average Price Chopper or Hen House, which adds to the overall feel of the store.
One of the highlights of McKeever's is their bakery section. Every time I visit, I can't help but be drawn to the display case full of delectable and divine treats. The already made items always look fresh and tempting, and I often find myself picking up a pastry or two to enjoy. The bakery is definitely a standout feature of McKeever's.
Although I have not tried the fresh/hot food at McKeever's, it always looks incredibly appetizing. The smells wafting from the prepared foods section are enough to make anyone's stomach growl. From the vibrant colors to the tempting aromas, the food at McKeever's definitely looks like it would hit the spot.
The prices at McKeever's Market & Eatery are also very reasonable, which is always a plus. I find that the prices are comparable to other grocery stores in the area, and sometimes even a bit lower. This makes it a great option for anyone looking to save a few bucks while still enjoying quality food and service.
Overall, I would highly recommend McKeever's Market & Eatery in Lenexa. The store is well-maintained and has a slightly upscale feel, while still offering reasonable prices. The bakery is a standout feature, with its display case full of tempting treats. And although I haven't tried the fresh/hot food yet, it always looks and smells amazing. Read moreMcKeever's is a WONDERFUL market but unfortunately I had a horrible experience when ALREADY being assisted by the employee whom I asked help for. The OLDER LADY with the cool Pink Powerbeats Pro (sarcastic tone) on her ear was RUDE! The younger lady who helped me was on the RIGHT track in helping me with what I was looking for. This was towards closing time, the older lady kept asking what I was looking for when I was ALREADY being assisted with. She would raise her voice asking what I was looking for. I found what I was looking for with the younger lady's help. As I approached the counters I noticed the CLOSED screen highlighted in RED! Which I can clearly can read! The older lady proceeded with raising her voice by saying, "THESE ARE CLOSED!" In a stern voice. Both the young lady AND the young man at the register clearly seemed bothered by her antics! This OLDER LADY with her cool pink ear piece was definitely RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL! All I have to say is that I didn't need HER help when I was ALREADY helped by someone else who ACTUALLY helped me! Ask your younger employees. Even the young lady mentioned something along the lines of 'that's just her'. Sorry, I don't buy it! Customer service is CUSTOMER...
Read moreI like this store. It is similar to Hen House. There is a nice selection of specialty foods. I like the soups, but they are pricey. The salad bar is average. Buffet is a typical buffet. Reminds me of a cafeteria. They have craft beers and a coffee shop which is very nice. The cafe people there are nice. The layout is easy to navigate. Store is very clean. The staff is a mixed bag, which stuck out to me and was part of why I wanted to write a review. There is a very nice young girl named Ashley, who seems to be there a lot and she is helpful and always has something kind to say. I overheard one of the employees named Tina being quite rude to her recently. I think maybe she is management. It made me sad because no one needs to deal with that at work. The job is pretty thankless as it is. I cannot imagine they are paid much, and the stress of being on the front lines with CV19 and social distancing and all. Just be kind people. I give the store 4 stars and the management 2 stars for 3...
