They treat the over the road drivers like trash. Charging fees to unload freight they ordered! Wake up people! Its funny how we all goto the store and not realize how it got there. These mega stores like walmart, supervalue and many many more make these drivers wait for hours and hours to unload. Then when they are finished they will kick the driver off the property. Even if that driver can no longer legally drive. Tired exhausted they force them out on the road alongside you and your loved ones or they threaten arrest for the driver that trys to rest. A truck driver has 11 hours to drive and 14 hours to be on duty. Example: driver loads 600 miles away takes the shipper 4 hours to load that leaves the driver 10 hours for the day. Even if the driver sleeps while being loaded. A experienced truck driver will figure a trip plan of 50mph average to make sure they are ontime. Thats 550 miles in 11 hours. Fueling a truck takes 15-30 min. Time to deceleration off interstate and time to get back up to speed is another 6 minutes. Traffic, weather, scales will throw curve balls in a truckers day all day. 80% of the time a driver has little time to get that load delivered. If the driver is 30 minutes late its a 150.00$ fee. These truck drivers are being slaved and stuck. Spending weeks away from home missing there kids and wives. Companies forcing them to push farther than they should to make that load ontime. Then you have a lumper fee upwards to 350$ to unload THEIR FREIGHT! And they charge the truck driver! Please help spread the word on what these drivers deal with and help by not supporting retailers that abuse them. Check out aldi distribution center in olathe,ks read the reviews. Google other companies and read how they will hold trucks for hours and hours AFTER the appointment time! 8 hours sometimes more and that driver HAS to be onduty which puts them past there hours. These companies...
Read moreLove this store for multiple reasons. The staff is incredible. Always looking to help and extremely courteous. However, very sad I can’t get a full gallon of skim milk anymore. I know, silly right? Just struggle mentally buying 2 half gallons for a higher cost per oz. It’s a principle thing. Please bring back the full gallons! Editing my review from three years ago (2022). Very disappointed that Aldi discontinued their gallon of Fat Free Milk again (2025) and is charging a significant premium for their half gallon of fat free milk. I bought my 1st gallon of milk at Costco in three years today. I feel like you’re trying to force me to pay a premium when fat-free milk should actually be less expensive than all of their milks because the fat and whey get skimmed off and are used in other products such as heavy cream and whey protein powders. This means manufacturers make significantly more money on fat-free milk and the byproducts than all other types of milk. Either your purchasing department needs to bring back the fat-free gallon milk, or reduce the price to be comparable per ounce with all the other milks. I have reduced my score from five stars (3 years ago) to 2 stars. When you bring back the fat-free milk or reduce the price of your half gallon fat-free milk to be comparable to price per ounce with other milks, I will raise my score back up to five stars. Other than this, I absolutely love your store, but refuse to buy your milk and all the other items I would buy on those...
Read moreI generally love this store and visit weekly (or more!) however today’s experience really disappointed me. It only had to do with my cashier who basically shoo-ed me away from her as I was trying to put my bag in the cart. She said to me, “I’m going to need you to...(and then gestured for me to get away from her.” We’re in a pandemic, I understand. Grocery store workers are working tremendously hard, I get it and I have enormous respect for them. But I was doing nothing to warrant that rude remark other than trying to get out of there quickly. It took me all of one second to set my bag in the cart. Also, this Aldi is usually pretty good about putting your items in your bag or box if you set it in the cart early enough. She was doing everything she could to avoid putting any of my items even near my bag. I’m hoping that just had to do with being very cautious about touch points, although several times I’ve gone recently, other cashiers have kindly put my items in my bag because I don’t typically get a cart.
It just was a disappointing experience that I hope to not...
