In addition, because I had trouble dialing in the setting on a bait casting reel I had bought from them late last year, one of the staff showed me how to set it up correctly.

He put that reel on a rod, made adjustments for a 1/2 oz jig he put on the line, then took it outside where he cast into the wind. It hit the ground after sailing a respectable distance with no backlash whatsoever. I had brought the reel in to sell due to the trouble I had with backlash.

A fisherman’s store! I could have wandered around in there for a long time. Lots of selection lure wise, a good “used” rod/reel selection as well as some really high end new equipment. Owner was friendly as were the fellas who seemed to be just hanging out. Shop locally and support a local businesses. No reason with a shop like this any fisherman would need to visit a box store.
