After working at Scott Furniture for years it was easy to choose them as a place to take my friend and client Sandy Campbell to the store to furnish her new home in Akien SC where my Interior Design business is now located. With a wide selection of in stock and custom furniture we were able to put together a beautiful array of Modern Farmhouse selections. My client is building in "The Villages of Woodside" in Aiken with a potential completion date in August. She flew in from California to make plans for her home which will be completed for her by Southern Comfort Interiors. She will not return until I have her home ready to move in. Therefore it was of up most importants that we dealt with a store with a prestine reputation along with both custom and instock selections which I know Scott furniture is known for. We spent the day working with Katie Scott White and walked away knowing that are choices were perfect and our set up and delivery will be professionally handled. I will create a home that is cozy and comfortable while making this major move an easy transition for her into the new and beautiful home here in Aiken. With Sandy living so far away Southern Comfort Interiors will take full responsibility to work with the builder along with doing the Interior design so she can arrive to a lovely completed peaceful new residence. Read moreI needed a bedroom set for my apartment located an hour and a half away, so I drove all the way to Scott's because I had heard good things about them. I found a bedroom set I liked and decided to order from them. The set consisted of the frame, a mattress, two pillows, a night stand, and dresser. The total was about $1,200+. With spending so much on this bedroom set, I put my faith in Scott's to provide me with a quality product and good customer service. The delivery went well and everything appeared right and in good condition except for one of the pillows which was not the specific model I ordered. Not realizing this until after the delivery, I called Scott's and notified them of their mistake assuming they would be willing to make it right. However, during my call, I was told that even though it was THEIR error in not providing me with the product I paid for, that not only would they not just ship me out the correct 2nd pillow, but that I would have to again drive over an hour and a half away to bring the pillow back to have it swapped. They wanted me to spend my gas and time to correct their mistake. This is not good customer service at all, especially for a first time buyer who spent over $1,200 dollars with you. These weren't exactly cheap pillows either; Scott's could've either compensated me for the difference in price of the pillow or simply allowed me to keep the incorrect one and ship me the correct one for inconvenience. Read moreOn Saturday Oct. 7 my husband and I was not happy with the service. Based on how we were treated and other customers that came thru the door after us. I felt somewhat discriminated. We were not greeted with a Hello. Upon entering the store the salewomen just looked at us without saying a word. So we proceed thru the store, never once did anyone come check on us to see if we needed any help. So I watched just to see how they would react when the older white couple come in....she (a salesperson) immediately jumped to her feet to greet and assist them.
