Let's begin at check-in. I arrived a few mins before check in time, parking lot was loaded. I parked up front as I was hauling a four tier cake, my toddler (birthday girl), two baskets of decorations and two presents. Left my car running so that I could unload my things and child safely. I arrive to find two of my guests were early and had been rudely told by check in to wait by the window. When I checked in (car still running out front) I was then handed socks and my child's socks and told to go jump. I asked how I would know my other party guests arrived, asked if I could get their socks and they keep the wristbands to give out to check waivers and they told me no they would check in. Fortunately one of my guests went and parked my car because my toddler was ready to run. I then attempted to watch my child and keep an eye on the counter to see when my guests arrived, to no avail. The only way I could know if my guests arrived was if I happened to run into them amongst the utter chaos. My guests had no clue what was going on and I had no ability to corral them to tell them what to expect. By the time our party room was available, the previous party had run over time and I had to mad dash into the room to decorate. My guests were already staggered about eating ice cream and food items their parents purchased because I was unable to tell them I had paid for all of that already. When the party gets rolling, I'm given 10 ice cream vouchers and had called ahead to ask if the ice cream vouchers went smoothly and was told they do because all kids have to do is go hand their vouchers to the concessions and get their ice cream. That is not how it went. I tried to take a handful of children to get the ice cream at once and we were made to wait in a line that there was no clear plan of execution, people were waiting for food to be cooked etc, meanwhile the ice cream cart is in front of the concessions. So when two adults that were not actively working the concessions walked behind the counter I asked if my kids could leave their vouchers and grab their ice cream so we could get back to our party room. I was answered with a look of disgust and told "no they have to be run through the register" then as I stepped back the two "adults" began to whisper amongst themselves with disgusted faces as if I was in the wrong. When we finally got back to our party room I had to pray the kids could gobble down ice cream because now we were pushing the 40 minute time frame. While kids are eating ice cream the counter tells us we were over the max number of jumpers and I will need to pay additional for the additional jumpers, so I go to review the list of jumpers. Kids who were NOT in my party were included in the list and an adult who was refused socks was on the list (my older child was not allowed to jump because my slots were falsely taken and I had been sent into the bounce area with no way of correcting issue until bounce time was over to find out I had slots taken that weren't used by my party guests) back in the party room, the party host tells us we need to start opening gifts. I drag my child away from her ice cream and we start throwing gifts at her. Note we are pressed for time and I have children throwing presents at me but I noticed some of the presents are NOT making sense then amongst the chaos of not having much time to clean because now WE are running a couple minutes over we start cleaning and it's chaos, no instruction. I finally get everything to my car and get down the road. I get a call from the venue, a child who's name is similar to my birthday child's name is missing gifts and they believe they were mistakenly put on our cart. Now those gifts that didn't make sense that we opened amongst chaos make sense. I then get home and comb through all the gifts in my driveway to ensure that the other child's gifts get back to her. I am pretty sure I may have sent some of my own child's gifts back but I didn't want the other child wronged, so I just returned anything that might have belonged to the...
Read moreI brought my 16 month old here last week and I’m still extremely bothered about the horrible experience we had. They advertise $5 for toddlers to jump so we thought we would switch up our regular trampoline spot and try this one because it’s closer to home but instead ended up spending $70. But the time you pay for socks and everything else, one adult and child is almost $25. Crazy. My husband wanted to go with her so he got the pass. I proceeded to put some socks on that I had brought with me and walked with them out towards the play area. Regardless of the fact that there were adults everywhere wearing tennis shoes, I was approached by what appeared to be a 14 year old girl whose manager had sent her to tell me that I was required to buy their socks to be in that area. Despite the fact that three other mothers were standing RIGHT NEXT TO ME in tennis shoes. The fact is, I was wearing nonslip socks from the other trampoline spot and apparently they didn’t like that. The young girl shamefully admitted it was silly and didn’t understand why she was having to tell me that, but she was just following orders. This infuriated me because not only was I surrounded by other parents in tennis shoes, but I didn’t understand why I was called out. I walked back to the front desk and was told by another other young girl that I would have to buy socks if I wanted to stay near my toddler. I said OK I’ll buy the five dollar socks and then she proceeded to say well ma’am if you buy socks, then you have to have a wristband so you have to pay for a pass. Are you kidding me?!? So all of these other mothers wearing shoes also paid for passes? I doubt it. I was so upset at this point I just wanted to leave. It was Tuesday around 11 AM and there was hardly anyone in the building. Three 13-year-old employees stared at us while we sat on one small trampoline for 45 minutes and watched our baby bounce up and down. It was incredibly awkward. There is nothing about this place that is geared towards toddlers. The play area that we thought she might be able to play in was definitely not suited for someone so young. We are regular trampoline jumpers at Surge near Blythewood and we love it. The toddler area there is appropriate for her age and they are always laid back and inviting there. The three of us go there all the time for $12 during toddler time. By the time I bought two waters because we weren’t allowed to bring any drinks in I spent just under $70. $70 to sit and watch my baby bounce up and down on a trampoline while three trampoline police sat and stared at us. It was really hard for me to even enjoy the 45 minutes that we were there because I was so angry. What a disgusting grab for money. I would rather drive 45 minutes out of my way to go to Surge every week then to ever come back to this establishment again. Not to mention half of the trampolines that we did walk on in there were ragged out and loose. I will NEVER go back to this place. I have a local business in town and I will make sure I...
Read more1st visit here with group of 6. Arrived approximately 4 pm. Very pricey - especially for 4 & 7 year olds. 4$ for ONE GATORADE...too expensive...especially after paying 30$/person entry fee. At first, thought things were overall nice for 1st visit. Thought was nice to have alternative INDOOR fun. Balls for different areas badly worn/damaged. Wristband technology areas were NOT ON for interactive play. Several staff not watching/refereeing all play areas equally. Areas that have signs for NO FLIPPING had a kids flipping multiple times with no acknowledgement by staff. Went back to 1st multiple trampoline area in front corner of building to avoid getting hit by "flipping kids" in "No Flipping" zones. Here come several bigger kids throwing a ball near our 4 year old. I had to say something to the female staff about "No Balls Allowed" in jumping area. She spoke in quiet voice to take balls back to ball zones. Use your whistle! Was she afraid to use whistle to get their attention to not hurt our little one? When two of our group had to sit down to catch their breath to leave one of the jumping areas [our group of four was the ONLY people in the area at that moment], (approximately 6Pm) the oncoming female "manager" with a group of staff was walking by, SHE blows whistle speaking in a loud/gruff tone "no sitting!"? Are you serious?! Our group was NOT causing a safety risk. If staff is not going to ENFORCE RULES EQUALLY for EVERYONE, then shut the place down. Rough-Housing with smaller kids around is a safety issue. Sitting to catch one's breath is not a safety issue when NO OTHER PEOPLE ARE IN THE AREA! Mechanical Bull shown on website has TWO Foam Horns. The actual one at location has ONE Horn that was only HALF covered with foam and the METAL inner horn was visible and hit my 24 year old son in the back when it spun back around after he was "bucked off". If he had been shorter, could have hit him in the head! After this visit, it was definitely a 1st & Last for us!...
