Faded Culture Studio — Attraction in Leyden Township

It pains me to write this review especially keeping into consideration the amount of times I've booked at this location.(over a year) This ultimately is the reason for the review. In the beginning everything seemed straight forward I booked my appointment and got a reasonable hair cut for $40. Jano was a great guys so our conversations seemed to be organic. My issue fell down to the consistency and timing. About 80% of the time I would wait to receive my hair cut 15-30 min after my initial booking appointment. The last time I received a haircut I was told quote for quote, " My customer before you arrived a bit late, Im finishing up I just have to finish you by 6pm." Keep in mind it was 5:15pm and seemed extremely unfair since I booked this appointment 2 weeks in advance. This started to worry me for the simple fact that I had a very important event the following day and could not sacrifice a botched hair cut... further more I received the haircut which was definitely rushed resulting to a botched hair cut. Main take away is that I thought I was a valued customer that would have been given the same respect and time as anyone else. Not only was I unsatisfied with the cut I was also down $50 since he had just raised his prices the week before. I brought it to his attention his answer to me was "I can suggest you to another barber." Ive never complained about a haircut in all the months of going there yet was suggested another barber right away even though I had been going to him for over a year. Id advise having a strict relationship w/ your barber so that you wouldn't be taken advantage for your kindness or business good luck to anyone looking for a local hair cut because I sure will not be going back.

Update: To whom it may concern, I wrote this review with my outmost honesty to assist the community in choosing the best barbershop for their needs. Ever since this review was posted the owners Jano & Valdo have start attacking my business such as defaming with false reviews about my business. I have never serviced these gentlemen. This is a top notch barber shop! Very professional staff, and you can tell these guys know their stuff. Every haircut I've seen here is sharp as can be. No joke, everyone looks sharp when they get out of the chair here. They do kids and adults. I had the worst haircuts as a kid and am legit impressed how fresh these little dudes look. Rome cuts my hair and I cannot vouch for him enough. Best hair (and beard) I've ever had, and it's not even close. David works next to him and I'm always amazed at his work as well. Great guys. I use to live in Chicago about 3 years ago, but decided to move to the suburbs. It was really hard finding a good barber that can work with my hair, I went shop to shop and they all messed me up. Until found out about Booksy, that is where I found my current barber Abraham, looked at pictures of his work and they caught my attention so I made an appointment.
