We recently visited Mi Palenque for dinner as a party of five, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. This used to be one of our favorite spots, but the quality of both food and service has declined significantly.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was unpleasant. The host seated us in a booth meant for four people, despite our group size, and we had to request a larger table. The restaurant was freezing, to the point where even the waitresses were wearing their coats. It was impossible to enjoy the meal while shivering, and we couldn’t even take off our jackets.
The issues didn’t stop there. The food was a major letdown. The basket of chips brought to our table contained just 12 chips—far from adequate for a table of five. My daughter’s tacos arrived with burnt tortillas that were blackened and inedible. When we pointed this out, the waitress claimed she hadn’t noticed, but it’s hard to imagine the cook didn’t see it. The fajitas we ordered were just as disappointing, completely lacking in seasoning and tasting like boiled meat.
To make matters worse, the restaurant’s atmosphere was overwhelming. The music was blasting so loudly that we couldn’t even have a conversation.
Overall, this visit was incredibly frustrating. We’ve been loyal customers of Mi Palenque for years, but after this experience, we’ve decided not to return. It’s clear that the standards of food and service have deteriorated, and it’s a shame to see a place we once loved...

Read moreI don't understad these reviews about the food being good. Maybe it used to be that way before. Went On Saturday night 11/11/23. All the food was horrible. We ordered flautas, tacos de asada, burrito de asada with fries, tacos de tripa bien dorada and tacos de carbon. The tripas were not doradas at all, they were very mushy - we decided not to even say anything anymore because we had already sent back the burrito and tacos because they had raw meat in them. I understand there's medium rare steak, but these had actual raw pieces of meat mixed with the cooked pieces. My husband had the tripa tacos and couldn't go to work today because he ha been up since 3 am with stomach pain, and a headache. He did eat the tripa tacos just took out all the big pieces. I had the flautas de pollo, I hate spitting out food in restaurants because I think it's gross but I had to do it with these. The chicken tasted very weird as if it had already gone bad. We payed $66 for food that we didn't even eat and even got sick from it. This is the first review I leave because I don't like to put down any business online but honestly this was just a really bad experience. I decided to leave the review when I saw my...
